Intro date

The Starslayer STY-3C is listed in the McCarron's Armored Cavalry (scenario pack). The scenario pack is set in 3044. It states the 3C was found in a small cache.

McCarron's Armored Cavalry reportedly recently discovered a small cache of these 'Mechs on Menke, while excavating to enlarge their Star League-vintage facilities.

The only things that are different is the manufactures of the weapons and T&T System. The 2 Large Lasers are Blueshot Large Lasers, 1 Moonshot SRM-4, 2 Razing Devil Medium Lasers, 1 Blueshot Standard Small Laser and Wayfarer C-101 T&T System. — The preceding unsigned comment was posted by Skylarr (talkcontribs) on 9 January 2014.

You are right, but keep in mind, new sources trumps old sources!--Doneve (talk) 21:21, 9 January 2014 (PST)
Big problem. The article prominently features the STY-3C variant and (correctly) references its introduction date as 3056. But this information is misleading because there was the earlier STY-2C which, according to the MUL, has an introduction date of 2772. Something similar happened with the Cataphract. Apparently, whoever edited this infobox took the first "hit" result from the MUL and didn't check for earlier variants. This is a problem and needs to be adressed, or else Sarna will be accused of spouting false or misleading information. Frabby (talk) 07:47, 29 January 2014 (PST)
Its actually easy to explain, TRO appearances apparently trumped sourcebook appearances when the entries were first created, long before MUL came along. Look at all the "new" 'Mechs to appear in TRO:3050 from Wolf's Dragoons sourcebook such as the Wolfhound, and the first House Liao book for the Cataphract, the variants from TRO:3050 is the primary on Sarna. Same deal with the Starslayer, the primary variant is the one from TRO:3058, not its sourcebook appearance. We have tried to debate the issue before, but things really fell apart when we start to cover 'Mechs which had primative versions, do we enforce a cut-off at 3025 tech?Cyc (talk) 12:53, 29 January 2014 (PST)
