Talk:The Immortal Warrior at the Battle of Vorhaven

Relation to Flashpoint (Novel)[edit]

I've read this story before. Am i crazy, but isn't this related to Flashpoint. The hero's family (David McCarthy) was celebrating his return. Little girl is a relative of his, this was actually taking point during the novel. Am I wrong? -- Wrangler (talk) 16:53, 8 August 2013 (PDT)

I am lead to believe that it is in fact related to Flashpoint just from that Plot Summary. The date and setting both makes sense, so I would assume that it is. -BobTheZombie (talk) 17:14, 8 August 2013 (PDT)
I read this short story in the BC anthology, but since I haven't read Flashpoint yet I missed this connection. It is definitely worth mentioning in a "Notes" section in the article. Thanks for finding this Wrangler! Frabby (talk) 01:14, 9 August 2013 (PDT)
Its not problem. It was bothering me everytime i looked at the reference. However we do need some valid reference to link the two. I have to dig out my old Flashpoint novel to complete connecting the dots. I think i read in an anthology and not on the online Battlecorp story itself. So there more work to do on that. -- Wrangler (talk) 18:46, 9 August 2013 (PDT)
I have checked versus my PDF copy of the novel (which I got from BattleCorps but which might theoretically have minor differences from the canonical print edition), and made the appropriate edits. Good finds Wrangler and Fredrick! Frabby (talk) 01:31, 12 August 2013 (PDT)

Identification of Battlemech[edit]

The crab-like mech described in the story is almost certainly the Falconer used to wreck the McCarthy household in Flashpoint, as like we've established, this is a tie-in with Flashpoint. Should I edit it to detail that, or leave it how it is? Fredrick (talk) 22:04, 11 August 2013 (PDT)

Good find. I've updated the 'Mech list accordingly. Frabby (talk) 01:31, 12 August 2013 (PDT)
