Talk:VI Legio

Lahti vs. Huntington[edit]

My ask the writers question over at the CGL forum:

I could be missing something, but there seems to be a bit of a disconnect between what the maps and unit assignment tables in Field Report: Periphery, Jihad: Final Reckoning and Field Manual: 3085 show regarding Lahti, Huntington, and VI Legio of the Marian Hegemony Armed Forces.

In the texts of each book, VI Legio is linked with the conquest and subsequent occupation of Lahti.

In contrast with this, the maps in all three books show Lahti as an independent world, not a part of the Marian Hegemony; on the maps that show unit deployments, VI Legio is shown as being on Huntington, and in the unit roster details of Field Manual: 3085, VI Legio is shown as being based on Illyria, Huntington and Hazeldean.

The timeline of the Jihad talks about Huntington being raided, but there's no mention of it being occupied at any point. While Huntington may not have been significant enough for it's conquest and occupation to be noted, it would seem odd for it to be shown on the maps of the period as a Marian world when Lahti isn't.

Are the maps and unit deployment tables correct, or is the narrative text correct? It looks as if perhaps the two worlds have been mixed up, but I'm not sure either way.

The response from Øystein:

The maps and deployment tables are correct.
