History

Was one of only two Galaxies (the other being Alpha to survive the early decades of raiding from other Clans.[1]

After the Burrock Absorption, Tau received permission to move against the Jade Falcon enclave on York, forcing the defending Third Falcon Velites from the world and taking the enclave.[1]

The Galaxy acted as a reserve for Alpha Galaxy during the fighting against Clan Star Adder between 3060 and 3067, as such its forces have engaged a number of Adder Galaxies. [2]

In 3075 the Galaxy dropped on to Circe as part of the multi-Clan force of the Clan Steel Viper Annihilation. They had taken heavy casualties in the approach by hidden gun batteries and during the ground fighting the Galaxy was over run and broken by the Viper's Beta Galaxy, but was saved by a counter attack by Delta Galaxy of Clan Cloud Cobra.[3]

After the Viper annihilation the Galaxy were rebuilt in 3082 they were stationed in the Colleen system. Here in 3083 they came under attack by forces of both Clan Stone Lion and Clan Coyote; taking heavy casualties as they were pushed out of defensive enclaves. They stood at roughly twenty five percent strength in 3084 when the Star Adders called for a Trial of Absorption and by the end of the year had been destroyed, the 17th Crimson Guards being the last Spirits standing. They were destroyed by orbital bombardment.[4]

Officers

In 3059 the commanding officer was Galaxy Commander Amerlin Johns, the only Aerospace pilot to command a Galaxy in Clan Blood Spirit.[1] As of 3067 the commanding officer was Galaxy Commander Mort Cluff, he was aided by Star Captain Bull Blood Spirit.[5]

Tau uses a black base with red accents and burnished copper on the upper half of the torso or fuselage.[1]
