The Traverse is a larger offshoot of the Transit, intended to perform the same mission but without the design limitations of the earlier fighter. Never produced in large numbers, limited numbers remain in service on Liao border worlds or wherever else it's needed.[1]

Description[edit]
One of the fastest aerospace fighters in its size, the Traverse is known for its speed and range. It carries one of the largest ever mounted in a fighter, a mixed blessing that is reliable in operation but takes three times the maintenance per flight-hour of smaller engines. With massive fuel tanks, the speed of a fighter half its size, and substantial armor, the craft is predictable popular pilots, it's said to have "the speed of an eagle and the hide of a rhino". Conversely, it's said to fight "like a wounded rabbit", with its offense aimed entirely to the rear. This arrangement compels even the most trigger-happy pilot to stick to intended mission.[1]
Weapons and Equipment[edit]
An LRM-5 rack in the tail is the craft's only weaponry, with only a single ton of ammunition. A dozen cameras of diverse design and function are mounted in the camera bay and tied into the onboard computer, providing almost instantaneous target identification; any further capabilities of the cameras is classified information.[1]
Variants[edit]
Canonicity[edit]
