Hegemony Armed Forces

Bob,
I'm a little confused. You're changing links for Hegemony Armed Forces to Terran Hegemony Armed Forces. However, the name of the armed forces of the Terran Hegemony prior to the formation of the Star League was the Hegemony Armed Forces - just like the armed forces of the Federated Suns was the Federated Peacekeeping Forces and then the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns. I'm not sure why you're making the change, because you're pointing the links away from the correct name. Are you perhaps under the impression that when Hegemony Armed Forces is being used as a link, it's being used as shorthand for the armed forces of the Terran Hegemony rather than as the actual name for the armed forces? The HAF was distinct from the closest armed forces with a similar name which are the Marian Hegemony Armed Forces, which specifically have the word "Marian" in the title, but the Hegemony Armed Forces never had the word "Terran" in the title. If a disambig page has been set up, then it's been created in error - we should have one page titled "Hegemony Armed Forces" with an otheruses tag to point to "Marian Hegemony Armed Forces". Sorry, yes, I was following the disambiguation page, and it said that it had to be one or the other, not "Hegemony Armed Forces" itself. I'll go back through my contributions and correct it. Also, do you want to correct the current dismbig page (HAF) or should I? -BobTheZombie (talk) 06:15, 26 January 2015 (PST)
Sorry, iam not involved, but fix this. --Doneve (talk) 06:23, 26 January 2015 (PST)
Done and done. -BobTheZombie (talk) 09:17, 26 January 2015 (PST)

Spelling

Hi Bob, in the Meridian article you changed "pre-arranged" into "per-arranged" as a spelling correction. I did mean to write pre-arranged though as I think it's the right word, and I don't know what per-arranged is/means. I am not a native speaker of english, however, so I wanted to ask before reverting this. Am I missing something? Frabby (talk) 00:16, 25 March 2015 (PDT)

Yeah, that was my fault for rushing there; it should have been "pre". I need to stop blindly clicking suggestions... Thanks for the catch! -BobTheZombie (talk) 21:39, 26 March 2015 (PDT)

Thanks! I apologize for not being on here very much as of late; I've been engrossed in a different sci-fi universe and will dump more edits on here when I'm back into BattleTech. Those video game weapons are next on the list... -BobTheZombie (talk) 17:44, 31 March 2015 (PDT)

XTRO: Republic I

Hey BobTheZombie, With Republic opening up soon, i want request to do couple up coming articles from the XTRO. I really don't want race and compete with you or others to try put article in, do you mind me calling dibs on Castrum Pocket WarShip and Strix Stealth VTOL? I've asked BrokenMnemonic and MBear same thing encase they jump to do it -- Wrangler (talk) 11:09, 9 May 2015 (PDT)

Go ahead, I don't really add new articles often unless they're video game-related or otherwise simple. -BobTheZombie (talk) 17:20, 10 May 2015 (PDT)

disambig - Why?

Hello BobTheZombie. Why are you changing all the articles with a shared name to disambig? Example Castum, i'm being specific in specifiying the Achilles DropShip. Why confuse someone linking what they believe is a drop ship to a disambig page? That fine if someone to the search. If article specific about something, the author made the link to go to the exactly that page, that seem harass the user with another hoop for them to dump through so to speak. -- Wrangler (talk) 10:58, 24 May 2015 (PDT)

Sorry, but I was doing it the other way around (going from linking to the disambig to the correct article. All the achilles links I did changed it from the disambiguation page to the planet or dropship page, not the other way around, and Castrum is no exception. I don't think I was wrong in my edits, but please correct me if I messed up; thanks. -BobTheZombie (talk) 14:23, 24 May 2015 (PDT)

Image Import Award

Hi Bob, I see and appreciate what you're doing with the image files. Since this clearly qualifies as "improving the visual aspects of BTW", and also since I feel we need to kickstart giving out awards to valued contributors again, I bestow upon you an Image Import Award. Thanks, and keep going! :) Frabby (talk) 06:00, 7 June 2015 (PDT) Image Import Award, 1st ribbon

Thank you! Ever since I got PhotoShop I've been able to do a lot more image cleanup and do it a lot faster too. I hope to add more video game pages and images as my time starts getting freed up. -BobTheZombie (talk) 17:29, 7 June 2015 (PDT)

XTRO List

Hi Bob, I may have messed something up when i was writing you. Do you know how to fix the list used display all xtros? Thanks and sorry about the mess. -- Wrangler (talk) 19:36, 7 June 2015 (PDT)

Okay, so you wanted to add an item to the list of all XTROs, right? To do that, when you are editing a page with {{XTROList}} on it, simply go to edit, then to the bottom where it says "Templates used on this page" and click on the one you want. In this case, here is where you can edit the XTROList. Things inside the {{ }} brackets are templates, so that may help you find them in the future. I fixed the history page; it's perfectly okay. Dragonstar PT and Hoshiryokou

Hi Bob. Question. Citation on both Hoshiryokou and Dragonstar's maximum thrust speed of 8. Its right in the book. I'm confused why you were needing more clarification on that? -- Wrangler (talk) 09:25, 8 October 2015 (PDT)

Thanks for noticing Smiley.gif . My question, was 8 what? Is it 8 G's or 8 Hexes or 8 kph or something completely different? That was what I wanted to know. -BobTheZombie (talk) 09:52, 8 October 2015 (PDT)
It's just Maximum Thrust, i thought i cleared marked it. I'll go make sure it says it. -- Wrangler (talk) 11:28, 8 October 2015 (PDT)

Thank you

...for cleaning up behind me and adding in all those Apocryphal tags and bibliography section entries for MW1. Really appreciated. Have an award. :) Problem Solver Award, 1st ribbon Frabby (talk) 05:01, 26 October 2015 (PDT)

Well thanks for the award! Oddly, I don't mind doing that sort of monotonous work... Perhaps Doneve has rubbed off on me a little Wink.gif -BobTheZombie (talk) 12:07, 26 October 2015 (PDT)
