As per your request, I'm slowly working military unit articles you requested me to work on.  I've done the 2nd Loyalty Defenders unless there some hidden information somewhere about them. They were invented for FM:3145, so I doubt they're else where. I'm moving on to the 7th Andurien Calvary as per to the list you gave me. -- Wrangler (talk) 06:55, 19 December 2014 (PST)

Character Naming

Hello Mbear, question for you about the naming standard on Sarna for pages of characters with the same name. Taking for example Thaddeus Marik which will bring you to the disambiguation for three different Thaddeus'. I than go to Christopher Marik which brings you to two different pages, either Christopher Marik (24th c.) or Christopher Marik (32nd c.). Question is, I need to create a page for Kenyon Marik of the Dark Age instead of Kenyon Marik the Captain-General. So which naming method should be used to differentiate these two characters? DerangedShadow (talk) 17:37, 13 January 2014 (PST)

I'm not as familiar with the naming conventions for characters as I should be. That said I think your question might be better posted on the Biography Project Talk page. If you can't get an answer there, we're all in trouble! ;) --Mbear(talk) 04:55, 14 January 2014 (PST)
Thank you Mbear for the direction. I never would have thought about posting there. :) DerangedShadow (talk) 05:31, 14 January 2014 (PST)
I've responded over on the Biography Project Talk page with a link to the character article naming convention that explains what to do Smiley.gif BrokenMnemonic (talk) 09:31, 14 January 2014 (PST)

Simian Battle Armor article

Hi, Mbear. I'm contacting you regarding the Simian Battle Armor article you wrote. I finished up the Centaur Battle Armor article, their TRO:3145 ROTS fluff is related to one another. The fluff you have in there is based on the INN information mainly, do you want me to update this article or do you want to? -- Wrangler (talk) 13:18, 24 January 2014 (PST)

Feel free to make the changes. (Sorry about the delay getting back to you, I was busy this weekend.)--Mbear(talk) 07:41, 27 January 2014 (PST)
No worries, It will be next item i'll take care of. -- Wrangler (talk) 11:36, 29 January 2014 (PST)

Rampant evolution or rampant destruction?

Hey Mbear, I am beginning to become extremely concerned about Neuling again. I have just noticed that the DCMS page has pretty much been totally dismantled and has been like that for over a week. I am honestly not sure if it is evolution or outright destruction a lot of the work. Is there a way we can possibly reduce the damage from what he is doing?--Dmon (talk) 20:44, 11 March 2014 (PDT)

New Idea

copy from BrokenMnemonic's talk page

Hy BM. A new idea by myself, i want to create a template like the Rules section [div class="gamerules"] but in red on some pages for the notes section to highlight some errata or inconsistence thinks there descriped in the notes section and so on, and highlighte some answered questions from the BT forum, is this a good idea, i want to involve Mbear to this, any thoughts.--Doneve (talk) 17:29, 23 March 2014 (PDT)

Hy Doneve,
Would you want the box to highlight canon inconsistencies where we've got two canon sources that contradict each other, or to highlight comments and rulings from TPTB, or both? I think it's a good idea, but red is associated with warnings - it's only really used on here for warning people who're breaking rules and for marking out fanon entries - so I'd be tempted to make it a different color. I don't know much about the div class templates like the gamerules one, and I've never tried making one - my first thought is, would it be something that we could do using tags like those Frabby made up to mark Apocryphal detail within an article? I know that I like to include answers and comments from TPTB in the article itself in the notes page, whereas Frabby prefers to put the detail in the talk page, so there might be a difference of opinion over whether the template is needed or not. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 00:45, 24 March 2014 (PDT)
Adding a class or section like that is possible, but we need to talk to NicJ to make that happen. BrokenMnemonic is right, red we usually use for CRITICAL or ERROR conditions so we don't want to use that. I'd look at Frabby's Apocryphal stuff as a model for this.
I'm not clear on what you're trying to achieve with this project though. Can you provide an example? Thanks!--Mbear(talk) 07:38, 24 March 2014 (PDT)
Ok, at first i want to highlight the answered questions from the BT forum BM has added to so many diffrent articles in the note section, as example look here Colonial Tractors, you and BM are right the color red is not ok, what options have we? I think this is enough at this time.--Doneve (talk) 08:00, 24 March 2014 (PDT)
Doesn't the quote set it off enough?--Mbear(talk) 08:04, 24 March 2014 (PDT)
You're right i stop this idea, thanks for involving, i poke around what we can much better on the wiki, but i stop and work my way what i do at this time, update composition histories and owner histories.--Doneve (talk) 16:06, 24 March 2014 (PDT)

Under Construction category?

Is there a way to list all pages with the underconstruction tag on them?

Does this help? --> http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Underconstruction -BobTheZombie (talk) 12:53, 10 April 2014 (PDT)
Yes it does. Thanks!--Mbear(talk) 06:36, 14 April 2014 (PDT)

User 1st Legion

Hy Mbear, don't know what we do with user 1st Legion, he make childish vandalism, blanked pages and add some fanon to sarna, we talked to him but no response or the talk was deleted, i feel a one week block is ok, i wait for your response, thanks.--Doneve (talk) 06:44, 25 April 2014 (PDT)

Status request

Hello Mbear, I ask what is the staus of my latest work about the various nit pages. Have the community chose what is usefull and what not. Because when the majority doesn't accept it that is a sign for me to not waste more of my time at this topic. With best regards Neuling (talk) 11:48, 15 May 2014 (PDT)

I haven't heard anything. I know NicJ likes the look, and I think it would be valuable too if it was broken out by Era rather than year. You may want to ask on the Military Commands page in Active Units.--Mbear(talk) 10:22, 16 May 2014 (PDT)

Wars of the Republic Era

Are you going work on the units in the book? I mean the Mech and DropShip? -- Wrangler (talk) 11:39, 15 September 2014 (PDT)

I have no idea. I don't think I will. I was just fixing the italics on the page. ClanWolverine101 has tagged a bunch of articles with Update Needed tags, so apparently I'm supposed to work on those first.--Mbear(talk) 11:41, 15 September 2014 (PDT)
I've not had a lot time to work on articles. I'm available for the next couple days however. Only thing is i'm not sure when that book is out of Mort. Since it was uncertain when the printed version was published. -- Wrangler (talk)
As far as I know this source ISN'T out of moratorium, so don't do anything with that source.--Mbear(talk) 11:45, 15 September 2014 (PDT)

List Table

I was thinking of adding a table to the bottom of each of the video game equipment pages that would contain each of the weapons and be able to organize by most-least damage, heaviest-lightest, etc. How would this be set up and how hard would it be to copy the data from the old tables to the new one? -BobTheZombie (talk) 15:22, 28 September 2014 (PDT)

It looks like you can just add the class=sortable to our tables and they'll be sortable. See User:Mbear/TableTest for an example I copied from https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Sorting#Sorting_rows_of_a_table. If table sorting works there, it should work on your tables too.--Mbear(talk) 06:30, 29 September 2014 (PDT)
Cool! I just could not think of what that was called. Thanks! -BobTheZombie (talk) 10:09, 29 September 2014 (PDT)
I got it to work using the table found on the DropShip page, and the data copied over nicely. -BobTheZombie (talk) 14:07, 29 September 2014 (PDT)
Nice!--Mbear(talk) 04:25, 30 September 2014 (PDT)

Updates Needed

Hi Mbear,
Over the next few days I'll try and get the updates done towards the end of the list - there are a bunch of SLDF Corps and ROTS units in the X's that need updates from Field Manuals, which I can peck away at while I'm at work. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 13:55, 7 October 2014 (PDT)

Sounds good!--Mbear(talk) 04:55, 8 October 2014 (PDT)
I'm still going through and knocking off articles as best I can (I was away over the weekend for a friend's wedding anniversary) but - and don't tell anyone else, in case someone goes on a tagging spree - we're close to breaking through to eleven hundred articles with updates needed. Which on the one hand is terrible, but on the other means we'll have knocked more than a twelfth of the update needed tags out in a couple of weeks. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 12:56, 14 October 2014 (PDT)
Don't look now, but you're about to break through 1,050 updates needed. That'll be an eighth of the way through. I'm sorry I'm not getting more done to help - work's not only crazy, they moved where I sit, and it's a damn sight harder to check books and edit sneakily during the day, which cuts down on my editing time. I'll keep plugging away, though. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 13:54, 22 October 2014 (PDT)
As of this day, the 10th of November 2014, the updates needed category dropped below 1,000 articles. I know it'll only last until some helpful soul vomits out another 50 update needed tags for each of Field Report 2765: Periphery and Experimental Technical Readout: Primitives, Volume 4, but I thought it was worth marking the occasion. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 03:25, 10 November 2014 (PST)
Congratulations! And thanks for your hard work on this!--Mbear(talk) 03:35, 10 November 2014 (PST)
Ha! And I can tell everyone that I participated in that effort, after I removed one Update Needed tag yesterday. :) On a more serious note, you know how I feel about that tag. I've just added a clarification in the template description that should hopefully limit the amount of tagging we're seeing to more reasonable and workable levels. Frabby (talk) 04:19, 10 November 2014 (PST)
Yeah, I know you're not a fan. After doing this, I can see why you're not a fan of the tag. Fingers crossed that the tagging will slow down.--Mbear(talk) 05:40, 10 November 2014 (PST)
Personally, I'd be a much bigger fan of the Update Needed tag if, and only if, the intersection on the plotted Venn diagram between "people who put Update Needed tags on articles" and "people who update articles and remove Update needed tags" was considerably larger than it currently is... BrokenMnemonic (talk) 06:55, 10 November 2014 (PST)
Agreed. But at least there are multiple Updates Needed that come from the Record Sheets: Vehicle Annex, IndustrialMechs & Exoskeletons product. Those should be really quick to get updated. That will reduce the count by about 40.
What really has me nervous is Handbook: House Kurita. As soon as that comes out I think we'll see a flurry of new "update needed" tags appearing.--Mbear(talk) 07:37, 10 November 2014 (PST)
I'm down to the last couple of planets needing updates from Dark Age Republic Worlds (3130)... could you possibly work your spreadsheet magic and give me another list of articles to update from a single source? I'm thinking something like Jihad Hot Spots: Terra could be good, as I'm sure I've seen a few planets that just need updates now from there. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 01:17, 9 December 2014 (PST)

Vehicle Annex record Sheets

Hi Mbear, do you think you can spare me some of the efforts to update the units needed to be updated. I wrote many of the industrial Mechs ones. Do you mind me doing them, I have some time today to work on. -- Wrangler (talk) 07:46, 4 December 2014 (PST)

No problem at all. I can work on some other stuff.--Mbear(talk) 08:49, 4 December 2014 (PST)
