Hello Mbear, I ask what is the staus of my latest work about the various nit pages. Have the community chose what is usefull and what not. Character Naming

Hello Mbear, question for you about the naming standard on Sarna for pages of characters with the same name. Taking for example Thaddeus Marik which will bring you to the disambiguation for three different Thaddeus'. I than go to Christopher Marik which brings you to two different pages, either Christopher Marik (24th c.) or Christopher Marik (32nd c.). Question is, I need to create a page for Kenyon Marik of the Dark Age instead of Kenyon Marik the Captain-General. So which naming method should be used to differentiate these two characters? DerangedShadow (talk) 17:37, 13 January 2014 (PST)

I'm not as familiar with the naming conventions for characters as I should be. That said I think your question might be better posted on the Biography Project Talk page. If you can't get an answer there, we're all in trouble! ;) --Mbear(talk) 04:55, 14 January 2014 (PST)
Thank you Mbear for the direction. I never would have thought about posting there. :) DerangedShadow (talk) 05:31, 14 January 2014 (PST)
I've responded over on the Biography Project Talk page with a link to the character article naming convention that explains what to do Smiley.gif BrokenMnemonic (talk) 09:31, 14 January 2014 (PST)

Simian Battle Armor article

Hi, Mbear. I'm contacting you regarding the Simian Battle Armor article you wrote. I finished up the Centaur Battle Armor article, their TRO:3145 ROTS fluff is related to one another. The fluff you have in there is based on the INN information mainly, do you want me to update this article or do you want to? -- Wrangler (talk) 13:18, 24 January 2014 (PST)

Feel free to make the changes. (Sorry about the delay getting back to you, I was busy this weekend.)--Mbear(talk) 07:41, 27 January 2014 (PST)
No worries, It will be next item i'll take care of. -- Wrangler (talk) 11:36, 29 January 2014 (PST)

Rampant evolution or rampant destruction?

Hey Mbear, I am beginning to become extremely concerned about Neuling again. I have just noticed that the DCMS page has pretty much been totally dismantled and has been like that for over a week. I am honestly not sure if it is evolution or outright destruction a lot of the work. Is there a way we can possibly reduce the damage from what he is doing?--Dmon (talk) 20:44, 11 March 2014 (PDT)

New Idea

copy from BrokenMnemonic's talk page

Hy BM. A new idea by myself, i want to create a template like the Rules section [div class="gamerules"] but in red on some pages for the notes section to highlight some errata or inconsistence thinks there descriped in the notes section and so on, and highlighte some answered questions from the BT forum, is this a good idea, i want to involve Mbear to this, any thoughts.--Doneve (talk) 17:29, 23 March 2014 (PDT)

Hy Doneve,
Would you want the box to highlight canon inconsistencies where we've got two canon sources that contradict each other, or to highlight comments and rulings from TPTB, or both? I think it's a good idea, but red is associated with warnings - it's only really used on here for warning people who're breaking rules and for marking out fanon entries - so I'd be tempted to make it a different color. I don't know much about the div class templates like the gamerules one, and I've never tried making one - my first thought is, would it be something that we could do using tags like those Frabby made up to mark Apocryphal detail within an article? I know that I like to include answers and comments from TPTB in the article itself in the notes page, whereas Frabby prefers to put the detail in the talk page, so there might be a difference of opinion over whether the template is needed or not. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 00:45, 24 March 2014 (PDT)
Adding a class or section like that is possible, but we need to talk to NicJ to make that happen. BrokenMnemonic is right, red we usually use for CRITICAL or ERROR conditions so we don't want to use that. I'd look at Frabby's Apocryphal stuff as a model for this.
I'm not clear on what you're trying to achieve with this project though. Can you provide an example? Thanks!--Mbear(talk) 07:38, 24 March 2014 (PDT)
Ok, at first i want to highlight the answered questions from the BT forum BM has added to so many diffrent articles in the note section, as example look here Colonial Tractors, you and BM are right the color red is not ok, what options have we? I think this is enough at this time.--Doneve (talk) 08:00, 24 March 2014 (PDT)
Doesn't the quote set it off enough?--Mbear(talk) 08:04, 24 March 2014 (PDT)
You're right i stop this idea, thanks for involving, i poke around what we can much better on the wiki, but i stop and work my way what i do at this time, update composition histories and owner histories.--Doneve (talk) 16:06, 24 March 2014 (PDT)

Under Construction category?

Is there a way to list all pages with the underconstruction tag on them?

Does this help? --> http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Underconstruction -BobTheZombie (talk) 12:53, 10 April 2014 (PDT)
Yes it does. Thanks!--Mbear(talk) 06:36, 14 April 2014 (PDT)

User 1st Legion

Hy Mbear, don't know what we do with user 1st Legion, he make childish vandalism, blanked pages and add some fanon to sarna, we talked to him but no response or the talk was deleted, i feel a one week block is ok, i wait for your response, thanks.--Doneve (talk) 06:44, 25 April 2014 (PDT)
