Warren Kurita (24742517) was the great-grandson of Grant Kurita, an exiled son of Coordinator Parker Kurita. His distant claim to the throne was secured by marriage to Siriwan McAllister.

Biography

Although proud of his family name, Warren was an obscure member of House Kurita and never had any expectation of becoming Coordinator. Although not a great leader, he was a fair tactician and involved in the then-new field of BattleMechs. He was described as quiet, intelligent and unambitious.

Summoned to New Samarkand to be decorated for his part in joint engineering-military projects, the 39 year old was dazzled by a woman half his age: the Brevet Coordinator Siriwan McAllister and within weeks they were married. There is no indication that he ever suspected that he had been selected for the role well in advance.

Although far more acceptable to the nobility of the Combine than a teenage woman could be, Warren was heavily dependent upon his politically astute wife during his reign. A son was born within a year and Siriwan seemed less devoted after this, commonly ascribed to attention paid to the newborn rather than her husband. Warren was refered to the court physician for 'depression and disorientation' which was ascribed to stress.

Taking a quiet family vacation at a fashionable resort, Warren died suddenly of mysterious causes.

Family

Warren was an only child and his mother is described as overbearing. His marriage was sudden and added another strong-willed woman to his family. Siriwan refused to allow Warren's mother to aid her in raising their son Hehiro.
