The Whisper was a JumpShip operated by Clan Goliath Scorpion.

In 3071, the Whisper was part of a Seeker expedition spearheaded by the First Eridani Lancers and the Eighth Scorpion Grenadiers, who were being transported on the Whisper and two other JumpShips.[1]
The Seeker expedition was initially looking for remnants of the former Rim Worlds Republic and began by working down to the far side of the Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone; in a system designated as T-892 on the ancient star charts possessed by the Seekers, located some six jumps from Erewhon, the expedition found that the system possessed substantial defenses, including an unidentified Peregrine-class WarShip which attacked the Seekers.[1]
The Scorpions were able to make an emergency jump out of the system, although the strain of the jump cracked the Whisper's KF-Drive, leaving the ship stranded. Star Colonel Sandra of the First Eridani Lancers decided that there was no choice other than to abandon the Whisper and her cargo.[1]
Six years after the Whisper was abandoned, forces from Clan Goliath Scorpion returned to the same system in which the Whisper had been left, only to discover that there was no sign of the JumpShip to be found.[1]
