Winter Wolf

The Winter Wolf is a predatory species from the world of Kore. It is biologically and even genetically similar enough to terran wolves that scientists from the 31st century speculated it must have been engineered from terran stock and seeded to the world during an earlier, failed colonisation attempt on Kore (along with a number of other species).

Winter wolves are adapted to Kore's harsh arctic climate. They have broad paws to race across packed snow, and white fur. They do not normally attack settlements, but have been known to attack people alone in the wilderness.

The hungry specimen encountered by Sturm Kintaro in 3060 was described as a "hundred-kilo beast".
