Unit Description
The X Corps (or Tenth Corps) was a corps of the Star League Defense Force. Prior to the collapse of the Star League it consisted of 7 divisions and 4 independent regiments.[1]
History
In 2764 the Tenth Corps was part of the First Army, assigned to the Terran Military Region. However, in 2765 an uprising occurred in the Periphery, requiring the corps' repositioning to fill in gaps left by other units sent to fight. The Tenth's units were split up between the military regions of the Draconis Combine, Free Worlds League, Federated Suns, and Lyran Commonwealth. However, the uprising had been secretly orchestrated by Stefan Amaris to accomplish his takeover of the Star League.
The Tenth would take part in Aleksandr Kerensky's campaign to retake the Terran Hegemony from Amaris, but in the process suffered heavy fighting. Of those units which survived, only two would join in Kerensky's Operation Exodus: the 26th Mechanized and 20th Dragoon.
