Depends on the Clan. I would imagine Clan Diamond Shark would go for the blueprints or a ship and the blueprints as they have a good shipyard or two that they could use for construction. The Star Adders on the other hand would probably just go for the ship as their yards are busy enough as it is.

Its not a fact. The Clans do engage in trade and other activitie. Trials Of Possession are actuallya last restort ( though last comes sooner in some cases) for when it is impossible to arrange suitable deals, or when the item is so important merely giving it up would imply a loss of honour. After all, if there was no trade, the merchant caste couldn't reallly make a profit and the DS would be out of business.
