All of the major governments have always had a problems of transporting large numbers of infantry troops that would take over after the organized resistance in a system was defeated. It could take a large fleet of jumpships just to move such large numbers of men. The Federated Suns put out a request for ship designs to fulfill this need. Most companies put in designs of very massive dropships of around hundred thousand tons. A unknown startup that was looking to get into the ship building business put in a design for a tiny warship of two hundred thousand tons at a cost that was far less than the C-bill cost of what the proposed dropships where running for. *I started this as a dropship but when I found that the life support for a dropship was going to be ten billion C-Bills but for a warship the life support was under seven tenths of a billion C-Bills I went with the warship idea* Some of the deciding factors that got the project running was that the ship was its own jumpship and did not require an available jumpship to transport it and it could transport other dropships for extra supplies that might be needed. Most of the time the accommodating dropships would be mules but its not all that surprising that these ships started to have a Mammoth dropships to be permanently attached to the warship permanent complement of supply dropships for troop supplies as it could carry more than what four Mules could carry and only take up one of the dropship four docking collars.

Other than me using illegal crew rules I would like feed back.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

You do realize if you are using HMAero and the Level 3 rules you can add in your own crew numbers for everything from cabin size to total ship board persons?

Rick has a program out called Heavy Metal Aero, it allows you to build fighters, warships, jumpships and dropships and conventional fighters.

It also allows for custom items to be entered like engine weight, crew numbers and weight for each person of the crew and their quarters as well, so in case you are still not following or have a clue here is the link to the program:

http://www.heavymetalpro.com/HMAero_Features.htm

I think it would help you a great deal with your project.
