K, you know that moment in a campaign. When that pristine mech that you want to salvage for the next missions SOOO BAD steps off the dropship ramp? And you move in for the attack trying to disable it without takeing out its CT? What you need is critical hits but some of you weapons take too much Internal Structure, Right? So why NOT take ye ol' JagerMech and keep hitting him with those tiny little shots? Roll for crits, and if your lucky maybe land some crit engines and salvage him? Even better if you grab a T-Comp on your way out.
"Machine Guns! Thats a Summoner out there! Do you plan to punch little holes in it, and have it fall down from too much ventilation!?!"

Even better if the JagerMech is refitted with Ultras or LBs...improved range, accuracy, and more chances for that critical hit

I find it laughable that a Jagermech could take out anything.
The only thing an A/C 2 is good for is to turn into C-bills.

now why not use a decent weapon? AC/2's are ok if there ultra or LB-X or Rotary. but I'de prefer to use light gauss rifles that do damage at least. salvaging the mech is ok, but in the long run, blasting the mech and making sure it doesn't kill more of your own is better.
besides, just use a mech loaded with MG's.

But if you salvage the mech then not only does it prevent it from destroying your units but helps you destroy the enemy's and with MG's you have to get right up next to um'. With light AC's you can be nearly across the map.
