Overview:
The Basilisk is another replacement of other mechs of the same
weight class but because of lack of XL Engines and the resources this
mech was forced to use Standard Engines while reusing Endo Steel and
Ferro Armor after being melted down from older machines that was
heavily damaged in the war with the Word of Blake or others to old to
use or repair, while the old DHS was ether repaired or torn apart and
melted down And reused.

While being able to handle self and dish out just as well as the
bigger Clan mechs even if it is a little light On Pod Space, the
Weapon load outs are nothing to take lightly as it can take on even
the heaviest of Inner Sphere mechs and even some of the heaver Clan
machines.

With Spiked Shoulders and Long thick arms with anti-shock weapon
placement Equipment Or A.S.W.P.E built in to protect the weapons in
the arms and to help keep weapons from getting knocked out of line
from weapon hits such as from Gauss Rifle rounds or Auto Cannon
hits.

The Torso has a look of a strong man while the head has more of a
bird look to it, while the Legs retain a more human look as well
while the feet have the more bird like two toed Clawed feet that can
get a better grip on the bottom of the feet.

While there are more 2nd line units then Omnis Mechs now but they
are more of the older models making the New omni mechs the ones with
better equipment and much easier to repair and up keep thanks to the
Omni tech.

Seen only with in the Jade Falcons

Known Variants:

Prime:
Two ER Large Lasers, two ER Small Lasers, and a Gauss Rifle
make up its deadly weapon Package.
While its deadly it much
watch firing the Gauss Rifle more then twice in a row as the Gauss
Rifle has been known to blow up because of a malfunctions in the fire
control.

Alpha:
ER PPC, ER Large Laser, 2 Med Pls Lasers, ER Small Laser,
ECM, TAG, and A-POD.
However this is the standard Config as many
Alphas have had their A-Pod have been removed along with the TAG and
the ECM in favor of ether a better weapon or more Heat sinks if not
both.

Beta:
2 AMS, 1 ER PPC, 3 Medium Pulse Lasers, 1 Streak SRM 4.

C:
1 ER Large Laser, 2 Large Pulse Lasers, 2 ER Medium Lasers

Delta:

Design-wise it has several flaws and much like the larger standard engine omni the Kingfisher it really sticks out that you start off with nothing in the torsos (also the fact that you jammed in all the endo and Ferro in there as well doesn't help).

This does have a Fasa-design feel about so its not a big problem I have with the overall designs, still I would look at more evenly placed crits for the FF and endo as with the limited pod-space you will struggle to get 8-10 crits used in the arms anyway.
