Years ago, I spent the better part of High School on the internet, looking up obscure/rare designs. I came accross one that stuck with me. The 137-A Omega. It was in Battletechnology #14(or 19 I am not sure). I liked it so much that I designed a IIC version, since it was never seen again after the fall of the Star Leauge, I assumed it was taken with Kerensky. The origional could fire all 12 medium lasers without building up heat, but I think that this one is just as good. I have a variant that replaces 2 of the ER Medium Lasers with 2 ER Smalls. It gains maximum armor. Enjoy.

Now that gets closer to a munchmech that Karagin is trying to acribe to your Annihilator retread. A Clantech, 3/5, near-max armor 'mech with enough heat sinks to handle 4 ER LLs and full movement? That's a lot more munchy than an L1 2/3 mech with 12.5 tons of armor.

Yeah, I thought so too. Hey, if I am going to be cast as a munchmaker, I might as well live up to the expectation!

P.S.
Does anyone else miss battletechnology?

Only until one rabid fan turned it into a raging headache.

BOTH of them are munchy...end of story.

LOL! As I said elsewhere, it's a bizarre set of standards that calls a 2/3 mech 12.5 tons of armor to be "munchy."

The armor Cray isn't the main issue. How about you look past that and at the weapons and heat sink issue. It has 4 PPC, with enough heat sinks to fire them over and over...and sorry but minmum range isn't an issue because not much is going to be able to close with the damn thing to gain the advantage of the minmums of those PPCs.

It's slow enough TO STAY AT LONG TO MEDIUM RANGE AND FORCE THE OTHER SIDE TO EITHER DO THE SAME OR TRY AND CLOSE WITH IT THUS CAUSE THE ATTACKER TO BE BLASTED TO SMALL PIECES.

Now can we move on from the armor part and look at what makes it's munchy or do we need to keep going in circles?
