Have you considered configuring it as a loadout for an 85- to 95-ton Clan omni? (Pet peeve of mine - the Clans are inventors of the omni, but don't use omnis in the way omnis were intended.)

Otherwise, it looks like it has a respectable, multi-role assault load-out.

The ammo dependancy is pretty well negated buy the ammo stores. It would have to be an awfully long campaign before you ran out.

Just a personal touch, I would take two tons of SRM ammo out for Gauss ammo. That would give you 32 shots on the Gauss. And, assuming you constantly fire the gauss but alternate the missiles to when one or the other is in optumim range, it would be a more sensible arangement.

Otherwise a good front line all-around 'mech.

It could be an omni, as I said it was a fast turn out mech to relax from the day's adventure.

What other load outs would you have in mind? I agree they (the Clans) need to use Omnis more in all areas of their military...so shoot some ideas my way on what would be a good way to give the Bagua some alternate configs.

Interesting idea, on the SRM/Gauss use. I need to see how this mech actually works in a battle so I can see if it needs more refinements. I have seen some great mechs on paper (pardon the pun) fall apart in combat. But your idea does bare looking at for different types of fights. Might be able to tie it into Cray's suggestions.

Let's see...make use of the behemoth engine. Give it 14 DHS on the base configuration.

After that, you've got 40.5 tons of pod space, including the jump jets. Configurations:

The base configuration you've presented: a high endurance, multi-role mech.

Can't go wrong with pulse lasers. Except for the extreme munch factor, Clan PLs are very efficient weapons, playing right into that Clan efficiency mindset. They'd also be good on a long campaign against the Inner Sphere (like Tukayyid). The Bagua model you've presented has lots of ammo, but not as much as an energy boat.

Less munchy (but for the Clantech) would be a long-range support configuration with ER weapons and LRMs, like a pair of ER PPCs, a triplet of LRM 15s, Artemis and 9 tons of ammo, and extra DHS.

A vehicle-killer packing a pair of LB10Xs (6t ammo), a triplet of Streak 4s (2t ammo), and either jump jets or a targeting computer. (Do whatever with the leftover tonnage - ECM's always good.)

Returning to pulse lasers, bundles of medium pulse lasers would make a good battle armor and protomech hunter. Those units usually can't deal punishment at long ranges, but they can be annoying buggers. Give the mech 10 PMLs, 6 extra DHS, and an LB10X, and you'll be sweeping streets clear of battle armor ambushes.

Just some quick thoughts.
