The second of three is the middleweight. The firebug's modest to fast speeds is enhanced further by experimental jump jets. Taking the shape of a huge metal samurai, it's shield seems a bit out of placed but it takes shape of a meaningful traditional emblem. The design is both motivating for fellow infantrymen on the ground and demoralizing for the enemy, especially when your buddy is sliced in half with a sword. More often though it uses it's large pulse laser to knife-fight enemies at very short ranges in tandem with jump jets. Be wary, using them at the same time consecutively bears a chance of seriously harming the mechwarrior due to excess heat. For anti-infantry uses, an experimental small VSP laser is installed. The design is much easier to accidentally overheat than most, so watch out.

Japan termed it to be a Cavalry mech because it could keep up with most of it's limited armor forces in open terrain and keep up with jump infantry in heavily forested terrain. In fact, it is more maneuverable than the third mech in the series, the one dubbed the scout mech, in heavily forested environments. Though it costs more than multiple sherman tanks, the shermans cannot hope through the most extreme terrain, and they will easily be outmaneuvered in moderately constrictive terrain.

definately a behind enemy lines sort of unit.

Personally, I think its a little undergunned, but not much can be done about that with keeping the sword and shield. I know that combo was the whole reason behind the mechs, so not suggesting they be pulled out.
