Another of my buddies Herbert's mechs, he had some odd ball ideas, but some are fun to battle against. This one he upgraded to the heavy lasers from ER Larges. Fun times all around with this one.
Funny moment was when he had the AMS actually work in his favor, he then starts telling us how the AMS should be able to intercept missiles that while not aimed at the mech with AMS but would cross over or by it. He went on for about 20 minutes with this idea and some how it became that AMS should have a missile version as well as the gun version.

there is a good arguement there. The ams senses missles in flight. If you are standing near enough to the actual target of the flight, the system should react to the flight. Otherwise the system should be controlling the main battle computers aiming.

I agree that an AMS should not know the difference between missiles flying by it and flying at it since it does not engage only missiles that will only hit the carrying unit.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

But I got a promotion.
I am now a General *pain*

I will look and see if he ever took the idea and came up with some rules or not.
