Overview: Looking for a cheap, effective tank with simple equipment for militia units; the AFFC contracted Thomlinson Armor Works to produce three thousand of the "Abrams" ABR-M1 tank. With a powerful Fuel-Cell engine driving it to a surprising 86.4kph, and a heavy 11 tons of armor, the Abrams is already well set to survive many engagements. Mounted in the turret, an AC/10 provides a solid, dependable punch, with the ability to use special munitions. A pair of machine guns allow the Abrams to effectively combat infantry. The turret mounted machine gun is swivel-mounted in the commander's cupola, allowing him a 360 degree view through inch-thick ferroglass. Strangely enough for the modern era, the main gun is fed not by an autoloading magazine style action, but rather fires single 155mm shells, loaded by hand. Despite this apparent shortcoming, when combined with the improved blast shield that protects the relatively vulnerable traverse of the main gun, this prevents an unnecessary ammo explosion as rounds are brought up from the tank's chassis one at a time.

Closest I could get, but had to use a Light Fusion Engine rather then a Fuel Cell. Ends up 3 times the cost for half the BV compared with what ever program you used. Could go with a standard Fusion at 4/6 though and add an SRM or something.

I'm getting ~850 BV for the tank you just posted, Maurer. The armor by itself gives more than your listed 424 BV, let alone the weaponry.

Again, was using a different program (HeavyMetalVee). Thats what I got, was trying to post something a little bit more readable and HeavyMetalVee doesn't have Fuel Cell engines, just your standard engines avaiable in ICE, XL, XXL, and Light XL versions. Could be whats making the difference.

the patton/rommel tanks would be a good thing to look at for a possible base of the tank. Just don't remember which book they are in right now.

You can build the same tank with an ICE engine. I will post stats later.
