I really wonder where you where going with this.
Why is it clan tech when you used almost no clan tech in it?
You have more heat sinks than you need to fire every weapon and to run.
When you do get around to the fluff you should explain how this was a failed design.
The changes that I would do just on the top of my head... Strip out half of the heat sinks. Drop the most of the LRMs for a gauss rifle. give it IS IS. Then give it some more short range weapons.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.
I was a Major *pain* before
But I got a promotion.
I am now a General *pain*
Yay for promotions!!!

I tried going with the ways of designing a pre clan invasion design to suppliment the dire wolf since it didn't come around until the clan invasion and I was mainly basing it off a mech fro mthe anime bakurono:ours and like I siad Fluff will be coming soon as I still ahve three weeks of collage left to do before easter break and I have some Othe Role paly character profiles for other sites I am working on as well so I am gonna be a bit busy for a while.
And I had auto double heat sinks on when I designed this so that heat sinks were ajusted accordingly to the ammount of heat that was being generated and yes I did use clan tech in the weapons and equipment to some extent. the reason I chose a IS standard fusion engine was that at 3,6 it functioned at the speed of the dire wolf and that it was the chaper more survivable option I tried to make something like the dire wolf but more survivable at the same time to an extent.

If you striped out half of the heat sinks you would have a lot of space to work with to make this a far better design. You only need enough heat sinks to fire either the long range weapons or the short range weapons not both at the same time.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.

It's not bad, though I bet you could make a Dire Wolf configuration with mostly the same weaponry rather than making this all-new design.
Also, you have 1.5 tons unspent.

Ran out of crits and it was made BEFORE the dire wolf was even around. It was made as a second line assault mech. not to mention it's cheaper to field for IS units as well. Anyway does this break any construction rules at all?

Not every 'Mech has to be perfectly optimized. The ones that aren't usually have more "character."
