Should this new issue be considered?

One of the initial advantages Clan Mechs maintained over that of IS Mechs was that of their velocity.

Triple Strength Myomer, however, could be considered as a means of rendering this obsolete … due to significantly improved performance.

Please refer to …

Thus TSM at a heat level of 9+ provides the following advantages … +2 to walk speed; X1.5 to run speed (rounded up); and physical attacks – double damage i.e. 50 ton mech how hits as if it is 100 tons.

In close quarter combat, that the average Clansman abhors, wouldn’t this provide the IS with an advantage over that of the clans?

My issue is therefore, why wasn’t this ever considered and acted upon by the FC military as a standard upgrade – as Hanse was still alive in 3050 - against the Clan?

As wouldn’t ever house have units that are permanently outfitted with TSM in the first place and are specialists in brawling tactics or for eg. hatchet man or axeman?

“Each of the civilian castes include their own council — such as a science council, merchant conclave, technician's guild, and laborer assembly — charged with organizing caste members to execute tasks assigned by the Clan Council ….”

Consolidating and maintaining power of the masses requires a vast bureaucracy to administrate their empire – every world will be required to maintain a dedicated and loyal administration to govern the day-to-day requirements of local government.

As is, the current structure of the clans leads to an ineffective supervision and coordination of provincial and local administration – weakening the overall government.

The absence of any administration during the Invasion of the Inner Sphere only leads to anarchism upon worlds ‘won’ by their forces. As how are clan warriors expected to understand financial analysis reports (economics) / human resource relations / technical agricultural requirement reports etc.

As is the canon version leads to an ad hoc government without any real authority or responsibility to achieve social order.

So how are military officers expected to be intermediaries to their citizenry if they cannot understand the vast bureaucratic and logistical requirements to ensure the efficient governance of their realm?

Where are the specialist agencies?

Where is any coordination?

In the absence of any administration scholars – the state system will be gravely weakened.
