Okay I was wondering if anyone has done the following:

Made a dropship as a complete 100% hospital unit.

OR:

Made a warship/jumpship as a complete medical ship?

If so could someone (anyone) post their work here?

Thanks!

Er...no, actually. I think my fuzzy thinking on the subject has been, "Any freighter-type ship has the cargo space to be converted to a hospital," and left it at that.

I'd also be interested to see some purely medical ships.

==Overview:==
During the long conflict of the Succession Wars every great house has
always had to contend with the inability to get their wounded combat personnel
off a planet and to safety. While Dropships did provide a capability to get
the personnel off planet, sometimes they had to wait weeks until they could
get to a planet with the advanced medical facilities to save them. More often
than not this meant their death. This has all changed since the recovery of a
Star League era memory cube on the planet Helm by the mercenary unit Grey
Death Legion. While the memory cube contained many terabytes of information on
lost weaponry, it also contained the complete plans to a medical ship to
address the problem of wounded personnel. This new Hospital Frigate would
bring the advanced medical facilities directly to the front and would save the
lives of thousands of soldiers. These new ships could also be deployed to the
periphery of any realm and provide those people with the medical care only the
citizens of the inner planets knew. Now with shipyards once again able to
produce compact K-F drives ships of this class may be manufactured and
deployed were ever needed. These vessels will be painted grey with three broad
white stripes around the hull. A large red cross will be painted on the center
white stripe to show this ship to be a non-combatant in accordance with
Maritime Laws. The Federated Commonwealth is the only realm to begin
construction of these ships above the world of Galax, where two vessels are
currently being constructed (Tranquillity and Protector). In a move of
diplomacy and showing a compassion that is rare in these troubled times,
Prince Victor has made the plans to these ships available to any realm that
wants them. The Prince also announced that one of every five ships will be
made available for purchase by any realm or unit that wishes to purchase one.
It is surprising that the first realm to order one of these vessels was the
Capellan Confederation, and even more surprising that the order was confirmed.
Delivery of this vessel is expected to be in late 3070.

Note: It is also rumored that a new class of spheroid Dropship is being
designed specifically for this new Medical Frigate.

==Overview:==
Designed to supplement the Tranquility Class Hospital Ship, the Hope
Class is designed to directly support a major military operation or to provide
a periphery world with the needed facilities until the world is able to
provide its own facilities. With a staff of 30 doctors trained in all areas of
medicine and 180 nurses, this ship can fulfill either role superbly. The 15
operating theatres can be used in a wide variety of roles. Designed to be
changed around to suit the need, each theater can function as a lab, surgical
room, quarantine room, or any other way needed. The recovery ward is designed
to hold 1170 patients. (While seen as somewhat cramped quarters, the ship is
still able to properly care for its wards) In combat zones the least seriously
wounded are kept on the ship, the more severe cases are transferred out of
harms way to the orbiting medical ship. So in case of an emergency dustoff, no
lives will be placed in danger. The Hope also carries two MASH vehicles that
may immediately leave the dropship upon landing and go to where they are
needed most. The dropship also carries four medical evacuation helicopters and
eight jeeps packed away in the cargo hold for emergency operations. Each of
these choppers take two hours to reassemble for use and the jeeps take only an
hour each to reassemble for use.
