I may sound strange here... but the fact that Wolfcannon is using Ragnarok for a name made me just think...
What if we made the Mechassault kind.
Well, Screw the shield, or at least if someone can balance it or do something. And the Lava-Cannon. We'll do... Twin UAC/20s.

Yeah, but that's Mechwarrior: 3052 if I'm not mistaken. I was talking about the really nasty machine in Mechassault that's horribly nerfed.
Lostech Mech that has a lava cannon, and an energy shield. Did the Star League have that? No... So I was thinking about making a battletech version.

It's got an LRM 15 rack... I'd say its a 100 tonner... and perhaps a pair of ER Large Lasers. I'll create it with BMD later.

Gah, biggest misuse of the Mech- title ever. Come on, mechs get powerups? Bah. And a simple damage bar for a mech, instead of hit locations? Just wrong.

MechWarrior for SNES was a first person game, you were a merc going for revenge against the Dark Wing Lance, weapons included homing versions of LRM, MRM, SRM (all 2-racks), S/M/L Lasers, and PPC.
MechWarrior 3050 for SNES and BattleTech for Genesis were isometric-view games, 5 levels, played more like the Strike series of helicopter games from EA... and the energy weapons used ammo.
