Okay I went back and reworked my older Monsoon refit into a totaly new design that is meant as new construction and named the Monsoon II class, also brought into Lvl II config to be more likely accpted for regular games, also I only used improved Ferro Alumnium to reflect mor traditional armor used by the SL, but I did greatly enhance the SI so the ship would mount a fair piece of armor protection in spite of that.
Also the design will be added to the Dark Star League Project under way at New Solaris.

What they came up with was the Monsoon II class a BB/CV hybrid design, totaly new construction using elements more acceptable to standard SL doctrine.
The new design while in many ways is as ambitious as the propposed upgrades is also slightly less capable, to quite coincerns over the hull integrity issue of large amounts of launch doors the designers opted to return to the old 8 launch door config favored by the present High Command, thus the actual number of fighters being launched at once in lesser but still considered workable if handled right.
Taking lessons learned from recent fleet actions the designs Capital Missile configuration was changed to reflect growing trends in the Missile field, secondary weapons mounts was also modified to take advantage of recent improvements to AA/AM development

Nice and well scary as normal...so why did they not take the first version's upgrades?

Considered to be cost and resource prohibitive concerning the ships age and also the sheer amount of yard time it would take for the overhaul, it was found that it would be easier and faster to build a new ship from the keel up with exsisting parts instead of retoolong said part line to remake parts that was phased out due to age and expense.
