==Overview:==
With the faluire of the Monsoon upgrades being accepted the design team went
back to the drawing board. What they came up with was the Monsoon II class a
BB/CV hybrid design, totaly new construction using elements more acceptable to
standard SL doctrine.
The new design while in many ways is as ambitious as the propposed upgrades is
also slightly less capable, to quite coincerns over the hull integrity issue
of large amounts of launch doors the designers opted to return to the old 8
launch door config favored by the present High Command, thus the actual number
of fighters being launched at once in lesser but still considered workable if
handled right.
Taking lessons learned from recent fleet actions the designs Capital Missile
configuration was changed to reflect growing trends in the Missile field,
secondary weapons mounts was also modified to take advantage of recent
improvements to AA/AM development
The Typhoon Class BB/CVA is a direct upgrade of the Monsoon II class,
envisioned as the next generation of Command Battleship to replace the McKenna
Class of BB. It is expected with the combination of aerospace support and the
designs own inherint firepower and secondary defences that the very face of SL
Naval Tactical Doctrine will be changed .

Some of the new ideas incorporated into the Typhoon was the addition of extra
fighter pilots and tech support in order for the fighter crews to rotate
during extended operations , this would in turn reduce pilot fatigue allowing
for the fighters to remain at high levels of alert. The same in turn would
also apply to the Fighter Techs.
The Typhoon also embarks 32 small craft which are used in multifunction tasks
ranging from fighter refueling operations, Search and Rescue to Boarding
operations.
