Overview:
Hand built from Clan components and based on a captured Man-o-War
chassis, the Raiden was designed by Eamon Kirishima and piloted by
his son Hiroshi, the Raiden is a one-off machine assembled at many
times the nominal cost of the machine. Eamon and his son fought a
two-man war against Clan Smoke Jaguar and participated in the Star
League invasion of Clan Space in order to find Star Commander Arkan
Hildenrath, the murderer of Jade Bashari, Eamon's wife and Hiroshi's
mother.
Capabilities:
The Raiden is a lethal fighter. Quite mobile for a 90-ton
machine, it packs a heavy triple ER PPC punch tied into a targeting
computer. Hiroshi, has gained a reputation for killing enemy mechs
with a single blast at a well-aimed location.
Deployment:
Only one single Raiden has been built, there are no plans to
construct other machines at this time.
Battle History:
The final showdown against Arkan on Huntress resulted in the
death of Eamon, murdered by one of Arkan's henchmen, the treacherous Shira
and the death of three of Hiroshi's friends as they took on two full
stars of omnimechs. Hiroshi confronted Arkan in his Daishi. Arkan had
set a trap for Hiroshi, allowing for his father's murderer,Shira and the
killer of his lover to attack him from behind. Hiroshi killed Arkan
in a berserker fury with a single triple blast to the Daishi's head
vaporizing his foe. He then turned against a Mad Cat piloted by
Shira and a Masakari, destroying both of them with aimed shots
on critical locations. Both mechs were destroyed by ammo explosions. Shira died as her ejection seat's parachute failed to work and she crashed to the ground.
After the battle Hiroshi returned to his home planet and joined a
monastery, his machine is being kept in perfect condition by his
personal tech and friend, Harry Gelderse.
