First a heads up for the design, it belongs to a Alt Btech universe, has no affiliation with the main canon one. The ship itself is the largest ship that can be constructed by the owning faction, there are larger ships fielded by what are called the Great Realms, but among the Outer Realms this is big boy of the pond.

one other side note, you will notice that the design is Level Three, the only reason for this was the number of launch doors, in the AT2r you are allowed 8 launch doors per bay, but in HMPA this is limited to a total number of 8 doors period not matter how many bays you have, so now you know the reason for the level III rating.

==Overview:==
The Shinigami Class Strike Carrier is the largest vessel in service with the
Sovereign League of Ice Rock military. massing in at a very respectable 1
million tons, the ship is the largest vessel constructered by a Outer Realms
power, construction of the vessel began in 2790, but ran into a multitude of
construction problems and delays, for the League had never before tried to
construct such a large ship, space station's in comparision was fairly simple,
such as the Pressure Ridge Class as a example. it as not until the capture of
the TLW MBC Von Der Tonn that the League gained the needed insight for
construction techniques needed to complete the Shinigami.

==Capabilities:==
Using the venerable Saratoga class carrier as a base for the Shinigami, the
design staffs of the League kept the strengths of the older ship, such as
fighter compliment and the heavily armored hull. What was enhanced was the
designs speed to be able to match the smaller corvettes of the League, which
in turn would provide a striking force of greater speed and power than
currently available. Also added was a battery of NAC/20's to provide the
Shinigami with enough firepower to engage with light cruisers or other light
combatants if the need ever arose.

With the capture and reverse engineering of TLW Battlecruiser, the Shinigami
is the first ship of the league to mount the newest generation of weapons from
the League's R&D centers along with the newest type of armor, providing a
level of protection unheard of in League history.

Note: While the captured TLW ship was of Clan Level tech, the reverse
engineering efforts of the Sovereign Legue was only able to achieve earlier
Star league accomplishments, such as pulse tech, er tech for large lasers and
artemis for missiles, also Ferro Carbide was perfected from the efforts of the
R&D centers.
