I'm not sure how many of you already know this, or would be interested, but http://www.iswars.com/ has gone into closed beta phase for their game. It is an online battletech simulation with planet capture akin to MPBT: 3025 that is based on the Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance graphics engine (for now).
As this is the only truly playable project out as of yet (is3025.com is still in production), much of the community is shifting that way. I just wanted to put out a rallying cry to anyone who might not be in the know, especially to any Mariks, you sweiners can go swing  .
I'm subscribed to this thread, so if you have any questions either go over to the link above (their forums are at http://www.iswars.com/forums/) or drop a post here and I'll see if I can lend a hand.

They're always making progress on it, but you'll still need MW4: Vengeance in order to try it out. Everyone can register and try out the game.
