It's been kind of slow in here again so I thought I would post something level 3. Hope you find it intriguing!
Code:
585 Renegade 65 Tons - Inner Sphere - Level 3
Chassis: CMCSpecial Heavy Composite Power Plant: Core Tek 260 Light Cruising Speed: 43 kph Maximum Speed: 64.5 kph Jump Jets: CMCSpecial Jump Capacity: 180 meters Armor: Durallex Heavy with CASE Armament: 1 Lord's Light (Modified) ER PPC w/ Capacitor 3 Blankenburg Technologies Medium X-Pulse Lasers 1 Buzzsaw AMS Manufacturer: CMCDesigns Primary Factory: Dieron Communications System: Sony MSF-21 Targeting and Tracking System: Winston Coral Snake with Special Targeting Computer
Overview: In the summer of 3058 the head of CMCDesigns issued its research and design division a mandate to design 17 new Battlemechs incorporating new and emerging technologies. Through a combination of design contracts, production contracts, post-conflict battle site excavations, in-house research, and covert corporate espionage, the company managed to obtain enough equipment specifications, design parameters, and in a few cases, production methodologies to complete the mandate. By 3062, 19 new models had been proposed, and by 3065 two prototype Battlemechs, the 20 ton "180 Thorn - omni" and the 80 ton "720 Victor," had been constructed. A new 'Mech, the 65 ton 585 Renegade has been tagged for prototype construction in 3066.[HARD RETURN]The Renegade has a typical movement profile for its weight powered by a new Cor Tek Light Engine and enhanced by experimental Improved Jump Jets. Durallex Heavy armor protects the Renegade's light and compact but fragile, experimental, Composite Structure and Extra-Light Gyroscope. The weapons are in a non-cumulative long/short-range configuration with a missile defense equipment.
Capabilities: The Renegade is capable of maintaining a cruising speed of 26.8 mph reaching a maximum speed of 40.2 mph. It is estimated that it could reach a speed of 53.6 mph if pushed into a dangerous sprint. The Renegade's maneuvering edge, however, comes from its improved jump jets, which give it a 590.6 foot (180m) jump. A feat matched by few 'Mechs over 55 tons. The Renegade's primary gun is an extended-range particle projection cannon fitted with an overcharge capacitor. Although the heat produced by the extended range and capacitor is enormous so is the damage it produces. The possibility of explosion and a slow recharge time due to the capacitor are further drawbacks; however, the balance between pros and cons cannot be weighed until after live-fire testing is done. The Renegade's secondary weapons system is a trio of medium X-pulse lasers. The X-pulse lasers improve on the accuracy and damage produced by the standard medium laser while maintaining its range, all at the cost of additional heat. The trio makes a potent short range package and allows the Renegade to press its attack while the particle cannon recharges. All four weapons are linked into a new targeting computer. Defensively the Renegade carries an anti-missile system with the ammunition protected by a cellular ammunition storage device.
Deployment: The design team suggests deploying the Renegade in a hit-and-fade role or in a low-intensity long-range support role where the terrain is particularly rugged and/or features intense topographic diversity.

The question no one seems willing to raise is "Will all the fancy equipment actually help this thing win?" I think it might not, but it at least has some new flavor.
Much of the mech's edge is banking on the Improved Jump Jet mobility. The Targeting Computer is taking up a lot of space to essentially compensate for this mode of movement. If that doesn't work it could be an expensive hunk of metal even against lowly Level 1 tech. Consider: Overheating is easy and all weapons can't be fired at once. A stock CPTL-C1 Catapult can give as much or more damage.
Fragile structure compounds armor breeches. All damage to the Composite Structure is doubled and the Extra-Light Gyro is more vulnerable to critical hits.
Internal explosions double damage with the Composite Structure. The PPC's capacitor can explode and so can the AMS ammo, adding additional vulnerability.
True, better weapons range, enhanced damage, and improved targeting should push the Renegade into the winner's circle, but it has some drawbacks that could be exploited especially by heavy hitters in the same class like the CTS-6Z Cestus or the Clan Hellbringer Prime.
