So, I just purchased Heavy Metal pro, and was attempting to enter my favorite custom mech, A 100-ton ER PPC gunboat. I added ER PPCs, and noticed that the damage was listed as variable. It decreased as range increased. Is that a legacy stat? The only PPC I see in TW that has variable damage is the snub-nose.

I'm not asking to HMP tech support, I know about their forum, and will be posting there as soon as I'm registered. But I'm curious about this inconsistency.

mmm, I dunno. It's at home. Just got it yesterday.

But, the current Clan and IS ER PPC are NOT damage-variable, right? I just want to be sure.

At a guess, you're looking at the average damage graph?

I'm looking at Heavy Metal Pro's SR/MR/LR Dmg readout. It states 16 / 11 / 6.

It almost sounds like a snubb-nose PPC damage for some reason.

Oh! Yeah, that's not for the weapon. Those are the 'Mech's totals for Battleforce.

BattleForce is a higher-level board game that allows easier management of large units. It abstracts the BattleTech board game so you don't deal with so many individual mech-level details.
