The Light Medium and Heavy MG for Battle Armor all appear to have 50 for either Reloads, Shots or kg.

KG works, 50 kg is 10 turns of BattleMech Fire from these weapons, minimum bursts for support weapons without penalty in the Infantry Platoon Creation Rules is 3 for Support Weapons, and 10 for Personal Weapons. (I say bursts, y'all say shots... but 3 BT turns and 10 BT Turns makes a lot more sense when a weapon can burn through all the first load of ammo at BT rates of fire.

50 Shots, well this doesnt work- The infantry Light Machine Gun (modern day 5.56 mm weapons are a little heavier than the M16 annd fire much faster are considered "Light Machine Guns" would consume 50 Shots to do 1 point of BattleTech Damage. the Original Classic BattleTech RPG Companion used this number for all its Ammo Loads, and this is demonstrated to be incorrect by the later Combat Operations Book.

50 Reloads... well, this is just silly -
2,500 rounds? seriously??!?
250 kilograms? i know you guys have disavowed tracking ammo for BattleArmor on the RPG scale, but what BattleArmor has 250 kg left over for each of its Machine Guns to have a full load of Ammo. even if you go with 12.31 g * 30,775.. well, 30 kg is a little bit better...

If a BattleMech Light MG is chambered for the same rounds as the totally different Infantry Light MG, then that is 200 * 50 * 12.31 g =123.1 kg. 876.9 kg of wasted space.. hummm, so there is a big fudge factor.

If a BattleMech Light MG is chambered for the same rounds as the Infantry Portable or Semi-Portable MG (what you guys had it at before some playtestor got confused over the difference between 200/150 "free rounds"/"consumed in BT burst" and 200 BT rounds), then that is 200 * 33 * 25.4 g =167.64 kg. 832.36 kg of wasted space..

well, thats all for tonite...

seriously, which is it supposed to be?

its not mathophillia, it is a lack of due dillagence on the part of the PTB.

The Battle Armor Weapons Table in "A Time of War" lacked certain information that needed to be there.

For instance, where is Ordnance Class (F) Published, was this Ordnance Class (E)... after all, the one and two tube Heavy SRM should have the same Class (E) Ordnace... (course, y'all get confused and call the Two-Tube Heavy SRM "Standard" and the Two-Tube Standard SRM "Light", and the One-Tube Heavy SRM "Heavy")

Battle Armor RPG Stats are different from that of the same weapons carried by unaugmented infantry or mounted on pintles. (yes, pintle mounted weapons should always do infantry damage and range and consume ammo at the infantry rate... a S-P AC with a full load of ammo is on the BT Scale a HMG OS, or a 6 shot S-P AC)

The number of rounds fired in a burst has a direct affect on the damage.
if you fire the Maximum Rate of Fire in LosTech (the first number in the (Burst/Recoil) notation), then you do the damage published in Tech Manual. Machine Guns, Gauss Machine Guns and Pulse Lasers have it easy (assuming that the Base Damage (BD) and Armor Penetration (AP) ratings have not been changed) they just ramp up the refire rate, increasing the consumption of rate for ammo and power in comparison with their lighter cousins that have the Same AP rating and BD but do less BattleTech damage.

Gauss Rifles, Recoiless Rifles, (Heavy) Short Range Missile Launchers, Rocket Launchers, Long Range Missile Launchers, and Mortars have to have stats that convert from the RPG to BattleTech with a single Shot (within rounding tollerance).

The BattleArmor mounted Stats for Semi-Portable Support Lasers, Support Lasers, and Heavy Support Lasers have to have Base Damage and Armor Penetration ratings that convert to the BattleTech Stats for the Micro, Small and Medium Lasers of Standard and ER Lasers with a single pulse (within rounding tollerance).

The BattleArmor mounted Stats for Semi-Portable Support Pulse Lasers, Support Pulse Lasers, and Heavy Support Pulse Lasers have to have Base Damage and Armor Penetration ratings that convert to the BattleTech Stats for the Micro Pulse Laser , Small Pulse Laser and Medium Pulse Lasers of Standard and ER Lasers with a specified number of pulses that correspond to the Burst Rating (within rounding tollerance).
