I don't know. I don't handle account approvals. I know the anti-spam features include bans on posting active links before you've made 10 posts.

BTW, where are you seeing spammers? I think I've only seen a couple in the past 6 weeks.

Chip's harder to block since he doesn't use normal spambot techniques. There's a real person with real creativity behind his new accounts, not an algorithm.

not everyone uses a name that sounds normal. Or better yet, may not be from english speaking countries. Now if you could only send a virus to the system that has the bot on it....

Something like "apoilkospa" has about a 99% chance of being a bot, given my own experiences defeating botvasions.
