actually, I can see a unit like this being used by all sorts of people. The cheap price and fast speeds means criminals breaking into a vault and getting away comes to mind.
It is also very convenient to bleed mechs dry of ammo, or risk getting a few in the backside of the mech.

The cost is WAY off. The savanna master costs less than 100k and has a fusion engine and a medium laser.
Why argue if the glass is half full or half empty, when you know someone is going to knock it over and spill it anyways.
