Mechwarrior 3rd Edition RPG has five expansions listed in Sarna in the link above* (and a sixth one not listed); is the information found in these expansions also in the current MW/ATOW product line? Do I need to acquire any of these books in order to fill a “gap” of information that is missing in the current RPG ruleset?

They came out with fourth edition mech warrior role playing book. The first page in 3rd edition should say 4th was on it's way. Or at least the one I bought did.
I haven't seen the newer versions of some of the books like the classic companion. So I couldn't even say if they changes anything.
And the game has changed a few basic things, that affect the outcome of battles.
So someone else will have to say if they are up to date or not.
