Designer's Notes:

--- This is a little something I cooked up while experimenting with the big LRMs and various AC/20s; effectively it's a really big Hunchback IIC that's absurdly expensive. I know it doesn't have LRMs on it, but in the end I've decided that AC/20s and big LRMs end up too much like the Atlas. This design, however, I thought was both amusing and terrifying at the same time. Barely an Assault at 80-Tons and moving 5/8/4, the Bully is incredibly fast for such a big machine. Mounting twin LB 20-X Autocannons fed by an eight ton ammo bin affords the pilot 20 rounds of Class 20 Can Openers and 20 rounds of Class 20 Buckshot. Fifteen and a half tons of Standard Armor is nothing to sneeze at, but the use of an XXL Engine, Xl Gyro, Small Cockpit, and Composite Internal Structure means that it's defenses are akin to an eggshell: Hard on the outside, gooey on the inside.

--- I doubt any sane minded military would field this, but it seemed pretty interesting for a PUG or deathmatch, as it's firepower and mobility struck me as balanced out by the overall frailty of the design. I christened it the Bully because if it were to be fielded in a legit combat scenario, it would excel at bullying Medium and Heavy 'Mechs as well as Urban Warfare; where the LB 20-X ACs could rip apart most combatants with relative ease. Still, 84+ Million C-Bills is a whole lotta dosh to be spending on just one mech... at that rate you could buy three Timber Wolves with a whole mess of ammo plus spare parts for 'em to boot. Too expensive for what it does, but damned if it doesn't do it well.

I always thought the lrms on the hunchback were misplaced. It was an ac20 carrier. Even the -P version is odd to me.

Class 20 Can Openers. Not really up on some ammo names, but is this the armor piercing rounds? The ones only a normal ac can use?

Except for the horrible price, I could honestly see this being used to defend tight areas, such as cities. Limited sight and movement. The jets would help put the mech in some prime positions to remove the big mechs quickly.

A nitpick: I don't think the hand actuators would be on it. I would think the ac's would force their removal.

I called the standard shots Can Openers since they remove more than one ton of armor per shot from whatever part of the 'Mech they hit, as opposed to the cluster rounds which spread the damage out.

I imagined that the autocannons were sitting on the shoulders, with the full arms underneath them. Kinda like a big Hunchback

So solid rounds. Got it now.

The canons on the hunchback were torso mounted. The missile packs on the crusader might be more accurate for this one.

I am betting the majority of the costs is the xxl engine. If that came down, the unit might actually be use as a last line of defense in say tunnels.
