--- A goodly little landing craft, but don't let the name fool you, this ship isn't meant for combat duty. The Skipper Class is meant for away teams, explorers and general transit of personnel & cargo. Liked by many for it's cost and utility, this little ship is an excellent multipurpose ship and a fine addition to any DropShip, JumpShip or WarShip in your fleet.
--- Two Infantry Bays can transport up to two platoons worth of foot soldiers, while a twenty ton cargo bay makes it easy to carry long term supplies and/or heavy equipment. The two access doors to these bays are separated by a hallway, with additional doors at the end of the hallway and the back of the cargo bay respectively.
--- The aft of the vessel is has a large loading ramp which folds down to expose the cargo bay and the hallway to the infantry compartments. Each infantry bay is served by a one and a half ton cargo bay for additional mission tonnage, while a final half ton cargo bay is used to store extra food stuffs, spare parts or anything else that might be of relevance.
--- This little cargo bay also features access to the ship's escape hatch, mounted on the "top" of the ship when it's landed. As an Aerodyne Small Craft the Skipper Class can take advantage of atmospheric drag to slow itself when landing, and can attempt to land even if the engines have failed. A two ton allotment of spare parts allows for some degree of maintenance and repair while 30 days of food & water let it make extended landings.
--- Steerage class accommodations for a single passenger allow representatives, liaisons, operatives, agents, advisors, overseers, trainers, spies or anyone else that the operator of a Skipper Class might want to ferry to find passage onboard the ship. This makes the Skipper Class especially good for explorers or scientists who might need protection from both the elements and potential hostile lifeforms... human or otherwise.
