I was was under the impression 505 error code was because HTTP/HTTPS was having issues. Database should be fine...

It's beyond the power of the volunteers to resolve and we have fairly limited ability to affect the underlying causes at the moment. We've asked the company that handles the hosting to look into matters and are waiting for a response. That's all we can do.

Might be time to change the host. If this keeps constantly happening, then there may be far more wrong then just 'maintainense' issues. Sounds alot like a DDOS attack on the server, in order to hack it. May well be endangering security.
Then again, it might just be someone that doesn't know what they are doing, got a job by lying and saying they had experience.
I am a bit paranoid, so the first possibility rings with me.

I remember the last great crash, it was about the time I was leaving the game last. Hopefully it recovers this time, or perhaps can be recovered from a previous date. Fresh starts suck.
