--- Designed to wield Teleoperated missiles exclusively, the Sioux class is meant to provide fire support to other Warships. As such, costs were kept to a minimum, so the ship doesn't mount a Lithium-Fusion Battery. Since it is designed to operate as part of a group, and to help keep costs down, it lacks any dedicated Anti-ASF weaponry, nor does it have an ASF complement of it's own.
--- It does sport a Small Craft bay capable of housing four such ships, and has infantry bays with which to house either expeditionary forces or marine compliments. The Small Craft bay helps ease logistics via dropshuttles to shunt cargo, while the infantry bays allow it to carry a defensive complement to ward off any would-be pirates. Sizeable stores of fuel, consumables and a decent complement of personnel allow even a low quality crew to maintain a Sioux class, provided they don't mind an eight month deployment...
--- The combination of infantry bays and small craft bays also allow the Sioux class to provide boarding capabilities to it's task group via Battle Taxis and Marines, a fact further enhanced by the low cost. Aside from it's teleoperated launchers, high-end tech is scarce to be found, with the ship being clad in 89.5 tons of Standard Capital Grade armor and it's weaponry being cooled by 250 Standard Grade Heat Sinks. A large allocation of Cargo space also gives it both flexibility in deployment and limited capability to contribute supplies to an invasion via dropshuttles.
