This would probably have began its life as a Solaris brawler due to its uncommon design ethos and brute physicality. On the lowest end of 'medium' mech, the 40 ton weight is specifically calculated to work with its primary weapons and 'raison d'etre'; its dual set of Claws.
https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Claw
A Claw lets a mech punch harder than it should have any right to, one point of damage for every seven tons of mech weight. In this case, a claw hit from a 40 ton mech does six damage! Nice, but not that big of a deal, unless and until the Triple Strength Myomer is activated then that doubles to magic-number-twelve. Enough to rip the head off of almost any mech in existence. And "F** Around and Find Out" rocks two of them. (Every successful punch is a 1-in-6 chance of a head hit.)
Its regular weaponry of a quad of ER Medium Lasers is about average for its class, but they are stacked in a head turret with a 360 degree field of fire, making the mech unflankable. The targeting computer makes them more accurate, also cancelling out the +1 to hit that comes with the early-stage overheating that happens when intentionally running hot to activate the TSM. "FAAFO" also has near-max ferro-lamellor armor and an ECM. These elements, combined with the torso-mounted cockpit, make it surprisingly difficult to kill for its size.
The single non-turreted Micro Pulse laser might seem an odd choice; it is intended to let the pilot precisely manage heat levels, hopefully keeping them at the magic number 9 (before a -1 to MP kicks in). The supercharger that FAAFO has lets it move quite fast when both the supercharger and TSM are active, at a speedy clip of 7/14, nicely balancing out FAAFO's lack of long-range weapons.
A lot of advanced tech in this thing makes it a hair over 13 mil, not cheap for a medium mech. Thoughts?

Interesting. I always overlooked the claw in favor of the mace. With TSM, claws get mean pretty fast.
Moderator comment: per rule 10, let the Censortron-2000 do its job. There's no need to bleep out ****, ****, and so on, the forums do that for you.

Its a Mantis mashup. You've got pretty much the weaponry of the S, the targeting computer of the T, and the TSM and supercharger of the L.
Its done the right thing by combining these, but that's a high price to pay, nearly double the Mantis, so I'm not sure it would have wide appeal outside of Solaris and other dueling arenas. Most militaries eyeing this might consider two Mantis's in its place.

If this is an Arena mech, you're gonna want Laser heat sinks instead of DHS.
From a purely fluff standpoint... You should also probably paint the mech with an extravagant colorshift pearl, and make your medium lasers a distinct color; the red/green lasers commonplace throughout the IS and Clans respectively are pretty boring. (Technically the lasers are all IR according to BT lore, or gamma rays in the case of the Large Laser, but whatever. It's Solaris!)
