The -7K Trebuchet was a prototype used by the Draconis Combine to test the
application of direct-fire support over the indirect-fire of traditional
missile units. The effectiveness of the design was lost with the tecnological
renaissance of the 3030s until the Daikyu proved what the proper concept of
direct-fire support and superior manuverability could do.

The -7KU model is an upgraded model of the older -7K Trebuchets incorporating
C3 technology for Draconis Combine C3 units.

With the use of newer tecnologies, the -7KU utilizes endo-steel to decrease
the weight of the internal structure and ferro-fibeorus armor to significantly
increase armor protection while only armor weight by half a ton.. Ten double
heatsinks control heat build up.

The main armament consists of a Lord's Light ER PPC mounted in the right torso
and mounted opposite it is a Mydron Excel 5SG lb-x autucannon. A Longfire
LRM-5 backs up the main weapons and is capable of providing limited indirect
fire if needed. The only secondary weapon is a Aberdovsky Mk III medium laser
on the right arm. Finally, a Matabushi Citizen C3 Slave unit tieds into the
communications systems allows the -7KU to provide accurate firepower to other
units equpped with a C3 system.

Been playing Harebrained Scheme's Battletech lately and I dread running into -7K Trebuchets as they can put a lot alot of big holes in your mechs. This is my take on what an upgrade might look like.

Wouldn't an LB-10X be a better combo with the ERPPC?

I like the design, SFE decent armor and nice range on the primary weapons. I think I like different primary weapons, im not a fan of LB5x. I'd also rather have a LB10x.. I think I'd want to rock a brawler version with a Rotary AC/5 and a Snubbie PPC with a capacitor.
