I mentioned in another thread designs meant to use Handheld Weapons. Here is one I made that I like. Its handheld weapon is powerful and ammunition efficient, (Streak LRM-15) with decent range. Upon exhausting ammo or if an enemy closes, it has a vicious array of eight very-accurate lasers (targeting computer) to shred an enemy. All the lasers are in the legs and head, with the four head lasers mounted in a head turret for 360 degree coverage, making this mech unflankable. At point blank range it can drop its Handheld Weapon and dish out two 12-point damage TSM punches while still being able to fire all its lasers.

Protection is quite good, near-max Ferro Lammelor armor and ECM, with a torso-mounted cockpit and no internal ammunition means this unit would take a lot of fire to put down.

Speed is just ok, TSM speed boost helps cancel out the slowdown from carrying cargo until the Streak LRM is dropped. 'Bazooka' runs hot, on purpose, for TSM.

(There are many other possibilities for its eleven-ton Handheld Weapon.. some I've spitballed are dual LAC-5's or Protomech AC/4's with precision ammo, an LB10x or Ultra AC/10 or HAG 20 but with 10 or fewer rounds of ammo that's less than ideal, other missile and mortar possibilities. Energy handhelds are sub-par IMHO because you have to sink their heat.)

You can ditch the Streak LRM-15 in favor of three Streak LRM-5s to save a metric ton on podspace, and produce an extra point of heat. This also increases the overall likelihood of a hit, and helps you to stretch your ammo supply (as you can opt to fire smaller salvos when they would be sufficient.)
