Aim: I am unsure on the fluff of this mech, but the Woden is another attempt by the Inner Sphere to build a remake of a try and true clan war machine, in this case the Thor. The Woden is at its core a upweighted mech with a light Fusion engine in place of a XL engine, and a slower walk speed but improved jump jets to somewhat manage the same durability and manuverability as the Thor. It is in no way a replacement and has a slightly greater than average cost than a Thor, but is a good enough stand in for the real deal, which the Inner Sphere can build without having to worry about sourcing clan weapons. I am not the biggest fan of the light cockpit but I had to really penny pinch with the general design.

The main issue is sadly the pod space makes it difficult to put some weapons in places and melee weapons are out of order save for lances, flails or retractable blades. Also like the Thor it does lack for pod weight, but then again that's more a flaw of the overall design than anything else.

I like it because it is a fast/maneuverable for an assault 'Mech. I posted a fast Clan Omnimech Avenger a while back. I'll bump it up for reference.

Thanks man, I tried to provide a balance between speed, firepower and manoeuvrability. I will admit its more a overweight Heavy Mech than a true assault mech. Truth is I had to up the weight to hold enough heavy weapons like a heavy PPC and a LBX 10 AC, while also fitting on a Light Fusion engine, as to keep up improved durability that a Clan XL provides. Pod Space is fiddilly though but does give it some uniqueness.

Not too shabby, base chassis is survivable from the Light engine. My favorite is the Prime and C, both with decent distance hit and crit-finding ability. If i were to make a custom config of my own, I'd rock something like a Plasma Rifle (or Snubbie w/capacitor), SB Gauss, and maybe a couple ER mediums.

I can't tell, are the improved JJ hardwired? I can't tell if the 30 tons available podspace includes them or not, as all configs have 5 improve JJ MP.

Again Happy, thanks for the feedback.

And yes the Improved JJ are hardwired, and do not take up the 30 tons of pod space. I know you could take them off and make them pod mounted, but A that helps keep costs down, and B jump jets were part of the fun of the original Thor design, and I wanted to keep them in to keep some of the designs mauverbility.

I love your design though, the use of a capacitor actually helps fix a lot of issues I have been thinking on ideas for it

The idea of mech would fit into the thinking of the Inner Sphere post 3052. It would give them something to field, that could stand up to the Clan mechs and give as good as it gets.
