Hehe I realize this is patently reedonkulous, but do the math. 5.5 tons of the very nice ferro lamellor armor keeps Oddballs alive for his moment.. when at 7/11, he rushes, gets to point blank range with the biggest baddest superheavy mega-assault tripod of doom on the battlefield, then hits it with EIGHTEEN M-pods, (-1 to hit) accurized with AES. (another -1 to hit)
Two. Seven. Zero. Potentially 270 points of damage, (rather a quite high potential with -2 to hit for each M-Pod firing off at short range, base to hit of 2? Even with some movement modifiers that is quite hard to miss that, remember the AES) every one in single point rolls.
Heck Oddballs could sandwich itself between two assaults, one on either side, or run up to two right in front of it, and hit each with 180 M-pod pellets, and easily kill both just with random crits/headshot pilot damage. That's actually the wisest use of ones Oddballs, as it is over 18 million bucks. "

So when is this match happening on Solaris and which arena?

The one shot nature is concerning me. Other then that, I can see uses for this unit, but not front line in most cases. This would be more likely used as an assassination unit, almost guaranteeing the destruction of the target, with a pod or two held in reserve to make sure you kill the pilot. Making holes in fortresses walls is another use. If you had the tonnage, and ECM unit would go perfect with the concept of assassin. Maybe make the armor stealth armor.
It looks like the M-pods are over powered. But that is a weapons issue, not the unit design issue.
I would also think they would be good for guarding the assaults backside until they are needed in front of them. Any unit that got behind your front line would be a threat. Just putting out the thought.
