Okay this started off as a day of simple fooling around with Battle armour and I decided to make a few builds based around some unique concepts.
Pride Support Armour (Custom) (LRM) Type: Pride Support Armour (Custom) Manufacturer: Unknown Primary Factory: Unknown
Tech Base: Clan (Standard) Chassis Type: Quad Weight Class: Assault Maximum Weight: 2,000 kg Battle Value: 282 Swarm/Leg Attack/Mechanized/AP: No/No/No/No
Equipment Slots Mass Chassis: 700 kg Motive System: Ground MP: 2 0 kg Jump MP: 0 0 kg Manipulators: Left Arm: Manipulator (Basic) 0 kg Right Arm: Manipulator (Basic) 0 kg Armor: Stealth (Improved) 5 350 kg Armor Value: 11 (Trooper)
Slots Weapons and Equipment Location (Capacity) Mass LRM 5 Ammo (4) Body 1 166 kg LRM 5 Ammo (4) Body 1 166 kg LRM 5 Ammo (2) Body 1 83 kg Light Machine Gun Body 1 75 kg Standard Turret Turret 8 (8) 110 kg LRM 5 - 4 175kg LRM 5 - 4 175kg
Description: The Pride is a rather simple Battle Armour. Stuff a ton of LRM's into its body and give it enough ammo to go dakka for a prolong time by battle armour standard. The Pride goes against quite a few design ethos for Clan battle armour and lore wise is built by the restored Clan Smoke Jaguar. A Symbol of their time as the Fidelis and their dedication to cross training, their willingness to make a LRM support armour is demonstration of this.
Cost wise the Pride is VERY expensive for a Battle Armour, but BV wise it is insanely cheap for a clan Battle armour being able to pour out 50 LRM missiles a turn for 5 whole turns. Add in its improved stealth armour and it can sit back and just bombard a mech and then waddle away. And has a Light MG which as a point of these can harass any infantry who get too close.
Sadly variations are limited due to the turret being a basic turret rather than modular.
----------------------------------------------
Fae (Custom VTOL BA) (Laser) Type: Fae (Custom VTOL BA) Manufacturer: Unknown Primary Factory: Unknown
Tech Base: Clan (Advanced) Chassis Type: Biped Weight Class: Medium Maximum Weight: 1,000 kg Battle Value: 361 Swarm/Leg Attack/Mechanized/AP: Yes/Yes/Yes/No
Equipment Slots Mass Chassis: 250 kg Motive System: Ground MP: 1 0 kg VTOL MP: 5 300 kg Manipulators: Left Arm: Manipulator (Basic) 0 kg Right Arm: None 0 kg Armor: Stealth (Basic) 3 210 kg Armor Value: 8 (Trooper)
Slots Weapons and Equipment Location (Capacity) Mass SRM 2 OS Body 2 40 kg Small Laser Right Arm 1 200 kg
The Fae came from a discussion over Battle Armour limited mobility and my mind going back to the Sylph and its VTOL actually not being exploited that much by the clans despite its amazing movement opportunities. The Fae is in a sense a Elemental VTOL take, it has a modular mount able to hold 0.2 tons of equipment and a SRM 2 OS, allowing it field everything up to a Small laser and a Anti Personal Gauss Rifle. This gives it a good variety and its 7 points of armour allows it to take a hit from most clan mid range weapons. The Basic Stealth armour also helps with it being it, giving better manuverability than the Sylph increasing its endurance.
Its not a stand in for the Elemental but it can wade in and support a advance with its fast speed for a Battle Armour. it Sadly uses a Manipulator rather than a claw due to weight constraints.
Lore wise it was built by the Scientists from Jade Falcon who moved with their forces to Terra in support, and was being worked on as a upgrade to the Sylph. Following the reformation of Jade Falcon into a body guard unit the upgraded Sylph's were presented to Alaric Ward who gave them his approval.
Two fun quirky rebuilds is the MG variation which mounts a Micro Bomb rack (382 BV), and a 'Bomber Variation' which loses the SRM OS, lowers the armour to 5 points and uses a Machine Gun to mount 2 micro bomb racks (375 BV) this one being able to drop 10 bombs. Sadly it does not have enough space for a anti personal mount. On lighter weapons one could fit but I left it off to prevent a heavy rebuild.
Design Quirks: Hard to Pilot (-2), Accurate Modular Weapon Mount RA (1)
Small Laser: 361 BV Anti Personal: 529 BV Recoilless Rifle Light: 403 BV Micro Pulse: 403 BV MG + Bomb rack: 382 BV Bomber: 375 BV
----------------------------------------------
Comet - Hell Jumper (Custom Space Insertion) (Anti Personal Gauss Rifle) Type: Comet - Hell Jumper (Custom Space Insertion) Manufacturer: Unknown Primary Factory: Unknown
Tech Base: Clan (Advanced) Chassis Type: Biped Weight Class: Medium Maximum Weight: 1,000 kg Battle Value: 480 Swarm/Leg Attack/Mechanized/AP: Yes/Yes/Yes/Yes
Equipment Slots Mass Chassis: 250 kg Motive System: Ground MP: 1 0 kg VTOL MP: 3 180 kg Manipulators: Left Arm: Battle Claw 15 kg Right Arm: None 0 kg Armor: Fire Resistant 5 210 kg Armor Value: 8 (Trooper)
Slots Weapons and Equipment Location (Capacity) Mass Space Operations Adaptation Body 1 100 kg SRM 2 OS Body 2 40 kg Anti Personnel Weapon Mount Left Arm 1 5 kg AP Gauss Rifle Right Arm 1 200 kg
The Comet or the Hell Jumper (I am unsure what to call it, I may just use the Comet as the Clan Designation and Hell Jumper as the IS designation), is a highly specialised suit meant for planetary insertion and first in landings: with a side role in ship boarding. It is in a sense a suit designed to ride down with the first wave of Omni Aerospace fighters from orbit, surviving the descent thanks to sitting on the upper side of the Aerospace fighter, a mix of Flame Resistant Armour deflecting the heat of re-entry and the Space Operation Adaptation to help it survive, and once breaking orbit use its VTOL to descend to the ground and maybe board a few enemy Aerospace fighters on the way down.
Fitted with the full gear needed of a 'Elemental like suit', it have a battle claw (unlike the Fae), a anti personal mount in its Left Arm, a SRM OS launcher, and space for 0.2 tons of weapons in the RA allowing it to again mount a wide variety of clan weapons from small lasers and anti personal Gauss Rifle.
The suit sadly lacks the full 10 points of armour of the Elemental, and the 2 rounds of missiles, however the OS SRM off sets this mildly and 7 points is enough to deal with most light mech and clan response units up to a ER Medium laser. It has the same manoeuvrability of a clan Elemental battle armour which as a +3 to hit when it jumps/flies is still pretty good.
Lore wise I would say it was built by Clan Jade Falcon and Wolf scientists to assist in the clans expansionistic plans following the formation of the IlClan. It stood a symbol of unit of the clans and also a clear indication of their plans to expand, as its role to act as a planetary invasion suit, touching down and helping to clear a landing zone made it ideal for rapid blitzkrieg landings.
The Comet has a few variations, and a decent spread of BV making it quite fieldable for a clan Battle Armour. The preferred design is the anti personal due to the range and punch giving it the best chance in high risk landings.
Design Quirk wise it would have Improved Communications for fluff reasons as to keep in contact with command as it descended.

I like those. They're all effective battle armors, and the Pride shows the potential of Clan LRMs. That's 5 volleys of 10 LRMs.

Gray Death Standard IIC (Custom) (Small Pulse Laser) Type: Gray Death Standard IIC (Custom) Manufacturer: Unknown Primary Factory: Unknown
Tech Base: Clan (Standard) Chassis Type: Biped Weight Class: Medium Maximum Weight: 1,000 kg Battle Value: 354 Swarm/Leg Attack/Mechanized/AP: Yes/Yes/Yes/Yes
Equipment Slots Mass Chassis: 250 kg Motive System: Ground MP: 3 80 kg Jump MP: 0 0 kg Manipulators: Left Arm: Battle Claw 15 kg Right Arm: None 0 kg Armor: Standard (Basic) 0 250 kg Armor Value: 11 (Trooper)
Slots Weapons and Equipment Location (Capacity) Mass Anti Personnel Weapon Mount Left Arm 1 5 kg Small Pulse Laser Right Arm 1 400 kg
Suit Dry Cost: 486,000C-Bills Suit Dry BV: 40.5 Lore
Made by Gray Death Technologies in 3152, the Gray Death Standard mark II was built both as a celebration by the team at Gray Death technologies on hearing of the rebirth of the Legion under Ronan Carlyle and Isobel Carlyl, and also to mark the 100 year anniversary of the companies highly successful Gray Death Standard suit, released in 3052.
A complete rebuild of the suit, the design however is no less ruggedly practical or lacks for utility. Instead the suit has fully transitioned to a clan tech standard, utilizing harjel sourced from Clan Sea Fox, the rest of the suit falls inline with clan technology, despite being built by a entirely Inner Sphere design team. With manufacturing techniques made to recreate clan tech, Gray Death Technologies can now sell a clan tech suit with only the reliance on the Sea Foxes for Harjel imports.
As heavily armoured as a elemental and armed with a battle claw, the suit can now like many clan mediums, take a full AC/10 or PPC shot to the face and keep moving. Utilizing the improved myomer bundles founds in the original Gray Death Standard the suit still posses its impressive ground speed of 32Kph. The largest change however is the suits second to none sensor system, hardwired into the very frame, and its ability to haul twice as much equipment as the original, with the modular weapon mount being able to hold up to 400kg of equipment. This allows the suit to hold a small pulse laser or a battle armour LB-X AC.
It is now on sale to Clan Sea Fox, Inner Sphere Mercenaries and the LCAF,
Design Quirks: Improved Sensors
Notes: Decided to see if this was possible and amazingly it was, I will say that the design quirk Imrpoved Sensors cannot normally be applied to battle armour. However given Gray Death Technologies experience with mounting sensors on their mechs I felt this would be fun to have, and give a all ground suit like the Gray Death Standard IIC some uniqueness

Okay the basic idea of this is a civilian motorbike with legs
Tetrapod Type: Civilian Model Manufacturer: Unknown Primary Factory: Unknown
Tech Base: Inner Sphere (Experimental) Chassis Type: Quad Weight Class: Ultra Light/PA(L)/Exoskeleton Maximum Weight: 400 kg Battle Value: 24 Swarm/Leg Attack/Mechanized/AP: No/No/No/No </p>
Equipment Slots Mass Chassis: 80 kg Motive System: Ground MP: 6 75 kg Jump MP: 0 0 kg Manipulators: Left Arm: None 0 kg Right Arm: None 0 kg Armor: Standard (Basic) 0 50 kg Armor Value: 2 (Trooper)
Slots Weapons and Equipment Location (Capacity) Mass Mechanical Jump Booster Body 0 50 kg Configurable Turret Mount Turret 5 (3) 80 kg Power Pack - 1 25kg Mission Equipment Storage - 1 20kg Mission Equipment Storage - 1 20kg
Lore: Designed in 3092 by General Motors under the slogan of 'The all-terrain vehicle: and we mean all terrain." The Tetrapod was a oddball when released, but came out to much fanfare and interest as a four legged 'civilian vehicle', meant to operate in all possible environments and terrains. Built on a lightweight 400kg frame, the design could muster a intense amount of speed through its hyper efficient myomer and mechanical jump booster system. Going at a rate of 65kph on flat or paved terrain it had the distinction of being able to operate in most major roadways, save motorways and was able to operate at decent speeds in wooded or built up areas, and to a limited extent could leap at 30 meters at a time.
A surprisingly stable and comfortable ride, the design was ridden in a reclining chair, with the quad design utilizing fully mechanical limbs, making it so the user did not have to break a sweat to use the Tetra. It also had a modular area on the back based of military modular turrets, where a variety of equipment and gear could be added and removed. The normal layout allowed the design to carry 40kg of equipment and gave it a secondary battery to compensate for its cheaper civilian power system over the military one. The design was also made durable enough to avoid excessive maintenance to drive down the cost of keeping such a expensive ride.
Able to run for a total of 6 hours, the power pack allows it to run for 12, making it a economic ride, given that all it relied on was a simple recharging station to keep going. The only downside to the design save the energy draw was its lack of armour, having only 1 point of Battle Armour rated protection, which while afforded it notable small arms protection, it did mean that collisions could be nasty if a pilot was not careful.
Used mainly on richer planets or a exploration vehicle, it has proved popular.
Design Quirks: Gas Hog (-2), Rugged (2), Searchlight
