5 May 1945, during the last days of WW2 troops of the 23rd Tank Battalion of the 12th Armoured Division were assisted in their efforts to liberate recently freed French Prisoners of War (Former Prime Minister, Generals, a tennis star and Charles de Gaulle’s sister) by a number of Wehrmacht soldiers against an attacking force from the 17th SS Panzer grenadier Division until relief from the 142nd Infantry Regiment of the 36th Division of XXI Corps arrived.

To me this establishes a unique game setting, for example …

Whereby either a AFFC or DCMS force combine with a Clan Provisional Garrison Unit (who are defecting) to fight against a line Clan unit in defence of Captured FC / DC nobles etc.

Or

In the Clan’s Fist Wave could there have been a world where the AFFC and The DCMS were engaged in a small skirmish only to find themselves challenged by the Clans. In a desperate gamble both the AFFS and the DCMS join forces to fight the Clans …

At the very least it could make for an interesting story.
Get thee to Coventry … Now is the winter of our discontent, made glorious by this daughter of Tharkad … Our army shall march through. Well to New Avalon tonight.

It is more likely the FC or DC was engaged with the FRR or pirates, such as when Phelan was captured.

The scenario could run with a unit gone rogue, and was facing the unit sent to hunt it down, then decided to join forces against the clans, or even an enemy house unit of much larger size.

The battle of Luthien could be considered close to the scenario as well. Both main units did not want to even be on Luthien, so that could cause a problem.

In stead of a defecting PGC, how about one that is defending the world, when a second clan comes in to take the world from them, while an IS unit is trying to do the same. Falcon/Wolf or Bear/Jaguar would be most likely to have it happen. If you are using an FRR unit then Wolf/Bear is possible.

One particular scenario might be on Camelot Command. Have the Wolves come in to take it from the Dark Wings Cluster and Snords.

This can be used in different time time eras, as posted in a few Adventure packs.

Depending on where you have it, you could have 5 different units fighting each other.
One scenario would be an SL Cache is found in the region, and two houses plus one or more periphery realms learn about it, and all send forces to secure it. Comstar/WOB could also be involved as they try to secure it.

One spot could be near the 'southern' edge of the IS. Depending on when in the time line, The FWL, CC, MoC, and TC could be used. The FS, mercs and pirates could be part of it as well. Just depends on how crazy you want to get. If you really wanted to add in some highly unlikely forces, then the DC or LC could have sent some forces to scout the area.

The jump points of that system could well be a parking lot in a short amount of time.
