The goal of this design challenge is simple: design a unit, to the best of your ability, that is tailored to recreational activities.
For the purposes of this challenge, Solaris VII (too easy) and "Honorable combat among consenting clansmen" (too vague) are discouraged. Hunting does count as a recreational activity, however.
What I will be allowing: - Custom equipment (keep it reasonable) - Design quirks (balancing encouraged, but not required) - Oddball unit tonnages (as in not multiples of 5) - Fractional accounting - Patchwork armor (some parts will take a worse beating than others) - Mixed-tech - Any era, rules level and technology level
I also strongly encourage fluff.

This is a 30-ton camper, made to explore the vistas of untamed worlds. Great for camping! Expensive as heck though, so you're probably best-off renting it for a couple weeks.
It has a whole 5 tons of insulated cargo space, about enough to carry a small electric vehicle, or a bunch of provisions, or what-have-you.
I know it says "TSM", but Solaris Skunkwerks wouldn't let me put Industrial TSMs on what is technically a BattleMech, and TSM-X isn't a thing in SSW yet. Just pretend they're Industrial TSMs. It has them to double the capacity of its dual lift hoists.

Here's a new variant, the Explorer II. It addresses some of the original's shortcomings; mainly missing features (collapsible command module, and an ER small laser for self-defense), and also a questionable adherence to the construction rules. It is about 25 tons heavier though, bringing the total to 55 tons. It has a lower theoretical lifting capacity than the original, but in practice it's greater, as the former's TSMs would have never kicked in.

IndustrialMech chassis, Fuel Cell engine, reduced lifting capacity, reduced cargo space, and only a single lift hoist. It also can no longer jump or swim, but now it has tracks to offset the loss in mobility (optionally, the tracks can be removed for an additional 2.5 tons of cargo space), and the lift hoist is mounted on a turret to compensate for the fact there's now only one of them! There is also a ton of communications equipment to partly make up for the lack of a collapsible command module. This design is aimed at entry-level customers, but it is still over a million C-Bills.
Same design quirks as before.
I look forward to seeing other people's designs for recreational vehicles. Probably way better than what I have here.

Nah. Overkill would be using military grade weapons for the concert afterwards. Laser light show with fire works and even the ppcs adding to the effects.
OH! Use power armor as robotic dancers, fully automated. Maybe even having them serve drinks at the bar..
Set up a skeet shooting area so normal people can fire off some LB-X style cannons. Now that would be a recreational vehicle.

Hey AmaroqStarwind. Have never considered building my own Mech, but this looks like fun. Good you inserted "to the best of your ability" caveat. I'll be needing that as a fall-back.
Looking at the Wasp WSP-105 LAM as a starting point. A sport flyer RecMech as it were. Using Tech Readout 3025 (c/w 1986) and BattleTech Compendium (c/w 1990) as reference docs. They seem complimentary and compatible for this build. Have already begun scratching it out 20th century pencil and paper method.
