Geh. Why bother?
The game sucks. If you can't handle it without cheats, you may as well toss it.

>>>And Bob Richter.....if you read this...you should know that there are many people who like to play the game through and then like to use cheats to explore areas of the game not normally obtainable in non-cheat mode...<<<
Bah. Bloody waste of time.
>>>The game does not SUCK...<<<
Yes it does, and nothing you say can change that.

No it doesn't. I did have some issues with it, mainly with the non-intuitive controlls without a joystick, but on the whole I liked the game.

I find that it sucks.
It's a sad, sad excuse for a game, and the graphics may be better, but the ART is worse. It all looks so cartoonish.

True, the damage system seemed flawed (or at least enigmatic), but I would not expect that in a battle you can see exactly how much abuse the target can still take.

That's not what I'm worried about. When I play a combat sim, I want things to occasionally DIE when I SHOOT them.

You could always cheat (in MW4 there are no codes, just a few menu options).

Dunno, seein' as I finished the game, I'd say pretty much everything died if they took enough shooting. Including mechs, vehicles, dropships and buildings.
True, they did seem to take more damage than I expected. E.g., when something takes some 40 Streak SRM hits on a single location, in the board game they'd not just fall down, they'd stay down. On the other hand, in the board game even with 1/1 pilots you'd need to fire at least 100 SRM's to have any chance that 40 hit, which no mech I know of can do in one turn. And it likely won't be on a single location. So, well, I can see the point in toning down damage a bit.
Was also a bit surprised at the armour and internal structure distribution, which seemed wildly different from what was shown in the hangar. E.g., shooting off a leg was harder than putting a hole through the center torso, and hitting the head wasn't even possible. But then I guess that was done to keep us abusers from just aiming everything at one leg and taking down legions of Assault mechs with a light mech, a la MW2.
But either way, they could and did die eventually.

Bah. If I have to cheat to win, there's no point in playing.
