------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ==Overview:== The Ice Bolt was Harris Armaments first attempt at building a battlemech. In 2992 the CEO of the company felt that in order to bring more money and to make a stonger name for the company that they should build a mech.
His theory was that their years of building armored fighting vehicles and anti-mech field guns would give them an edge when it came to building a mech.
So he sent a memo out to the design staff in the R&D section to build a mech that was cost effective and able to with stand anything thrown at it and it must not be heavier then 50 tons, (this was maximum AFV weight of the main battle tank then in production by the company).
The head of the R&D staff, a one doctor John Glam, took his boss literial at his word, so Doctor Glam took the Amatron medium battle tank and made into a battlemech.
The end results was a heavily armed, average speed, well armored city defender of the medium mech class. In other words nothing really speical. But with it's very low price of 3.3 million it was just cheap enough to impress the shaky government of the Vondor Imperium and the member states of the same to buy in droves for their militas and peripherial border planets.
Also many other companies that need a strong sercurity force to protect their factories and such from raiders also bought the Ice Bolt..

Ah, but *IT CAN'T JUMP!* it must be a totaly different 'Mech...
Great minds indeed think alike. I read the armament and went "Eh...what? Haven't I already seen that before?"
Yea, verily. Let it be known far and wide that Nightward loathes MW: DA. Indeed, it is with the BURNING ANIMUS OF A THOUSAND SUNS that he doth rage against it with.

Actually it's one of my vehicles converted over to a mech...hence the fluff idea...:D Never really noticed that it was close to the Enforcer...

"Close"? What "Close"? This thing is a clone...

Sorry it's not a clone...it is a tank made into a mech...

Kinda funny how different approaches can yeild identical results. I don't know how many times I've tried to "improve" an existing design only to end up with something very similar to another design (ex. most of my Marauder refits seem to turn into Warhammer clones )
Anyway...not great, but not bad. The Enforcer was always one of my favourite FASA mediums, so naturally, I like anything that resembles it.
Peace is that glorious moment in history when everyone stands around reloading.
